What happens is that the regulations passed and regulations ending usually only benefits a few. Usually, as in the housing bubble, the government gives some type of guarantee. If the government said it would pay off the load if the customer faulted, would you care who you gave the loan too????

To understand what caused this problem is not simply laying it on The Bush Administration tax cuts. This problem started back in the 70's with the sudden massive expansion of the fiat currency from The Federal Reserve. It's government deficit spending that is feeding this problem. And it doesn't matter if the spending is occuring through Republicans pushing for larger military and policing the world policies or Democratic social programs. Tax cut make the problem worse if you don't cut spending.

The problem is that banks gave out loans to people who couldn't really afford to pay them back. Banks did so knowing full well that their loans would be made good by the government all the same in the form of a bail out. It was corporate irresponsibility *ALONG* with consumers taking credit they couldn't afford. Thats the problem. It has very little to do with Republicans and their free market mentality or politics. This disaster started more than a decade ago.

What happens is that the regulations passed and regulations ending usually only benefits a few. Usually, as in the housing bubble, the government gives some type of guarantee. If the government said it would pay off the load if the customer faulted, would you care who you gave the loan too????
Fact is, if the laws that were on the books were actually followed, none of this would have happened. Banks would fold and banks that didn't make these loans would prosper.

To understand what caused this problem is not simply laying it on The Bush Administration tax cuts. This problem started back in the 70's with the sudden massive expansion of the fiat currency from The Federal Reserve. It's government deficit spending that is feeding this problem. And it doesn't matter if the spending is occuring through Republicans pushing for larger military and policing the world policies or Democratic social programs. Tax cut make the problem worse if you don't cut spending.

Then Reagan came in and shot it up to 60% Bush continued that, Clinton reversed it and Bush jr went batshit crazy. The deficit spending from 1945-1980 was more than mitigated by GDP growth and has nothing to do with the kinds of deficit spending we've seen from republicans since.

Look at the statistics you cannot deny the facts. You are looking at this trough a political specter not me. The current debt is the result of decades of Republican and Democrat mismanagement. Both prities are tpo blame for this current mess. Federal government is too big and must be reduced. The only way to pay down debt is to first have a syurplus and then actually use the surplus to pay off debt, not to instill new programs because you have the illusion of money.

Deficit spending makes The Fed to print more money and causes the inflation that raises prices and reduces the value of the dollar against other world currencies. The national debt is now over $11 Trillion. The interest we pay on that money is now the biggest item in the budget to the tune of $400 billion per year. And the only reason it's that low is because The Fed pushed rates down which cause the bubble and meltdown we're in now. When rates rise taxes will be 50% of what you make. Enjoy that

Inflation is a problem. You think your wages are keeping up with inflation? Inflation is an invisible tax on 200 million Americans without assets. If you don't have a house or stocks, your losing in the inflation game. Also as your income rises you get thrown into a higher tax bracket and possibly The AMT. Inflating the currency by simply printing money is one reason why the gap between rich and poor keeps widening. Glad you don't think it's such a big deal.

The problem is the Bush administration propagated to get rid of all free market regulations because they claimed that the market always regulates itself.
Secondly, that same administration lacked foresight, or failed to inform the American public about the risks of a huge financial problem that may lay ahead.
A government has to accept critique for the economical situation of a country the same way they claim responsibility for it when everything works fine.

The problem is that banks gave out loans to people who couldn't really afford to pay them back. Banks did so knowing full well that their loans would be made good by the government all the same in the form of a bail out. It was corporate irresponsibility *ALONG* with consumers taking credit they couldn't afford. Thats the problem. It has very little to do with Republicans and their free market mentality or politics. This disaster started more than a decade ago.
