  • Dint they ecuiptment so u dont blackout?

  • The boys back at base must love this vid

  • Did he faint?

  • パイロットはGスーツを着ている? ブルーエンジェルスはGスーツと酸素マスクをしません。

    これは伝統的に決められているそうです。。。

  • that guys not pushin at all. You gotta push like your takin a fucking massive shit...

  • this would be so awesome

  • @ MrOregona230 it's all about technique, breathing in short fast bursts, flexing your neck, abs, and thighs to keep the blood from leaving your head.

  • Lucky it didnt rain urine and shit in the cockpit....

  • Wow that many blacked out at one time??? He's gotta have brain damage now.

  • What does the pilot do differently to not be affected? I'm really tall and I go dizzy just stand up probably I'd die on this plane :P

  • ROFLMFAO

  • I'm surprised he didn't choke on his chewing gum! Even more surprised they let him have it in the first place! Still, he recovered very fast I thought:-)

    Great video:-)

  • Blue Angeles hade to were g suits have u ever seen that fucking shut they do

  • people look like they are sitting on electric chairs when they feel g force

  • @MylesM316 haha dude im geekin out cause of this shit

  • It's good that Steve was not the one flying the jet!

  • He is lucky he didnt choke on his gum

  • is he dying ?

  • That's funny shit!!!!!!!!

  • lol what a pussy

  • aeromedical'org--Articles--g-loc.html

"An airman's tolerance to G seems to be improved if he breathes 100% oxygen, if he is 'Pressure Breathing'(7) and if he is anaerobically fit."

  • stroke stroke!

  • This guy is a dumb ass, did they even teach him the straining manuver? I think he just tried to deal with it

  • Definitely NOT on the bucket list

  • @Mr15711 If anything it'll put you in the bucket.

  • ha ha

  • @18oli1990 - the only people they let do this kind of "ride" are journalists, reporters, and sometimes celebrities.

  • rofl love how his face just gets all like droopy

  • funny thing is that pilot feels same thing but yeh :D cool ehh...

  • I think the LAST thing you should be doing is chewing gum when doing this - huge risk of choking dont you think? And the pilot can't get to you to help.. you're screwed.

  • How did Steve manage to go in this kind of plane? Is it for a birthday or something?

Can we buy a flight in the USA? I'm very interested in doing the same... If someone knows...

  • Super jet jock...

  • @MylesM316 i agree, not to mention that he has gum in his mouth while doing crazy pass out shit, ever think he might choke??? my mom used to check my mouth when i fell asleep to see if I spat my gum out..lol..... great vid though

  • with a gum !! >>?? is it logic ??

  • But still... Chewing gum is very dangerous performing maneuvers like these

  • chewing gum unlocks your jaw, it really helps to release pressure on your ear to prevent them from popping and or bleeding for the pressure.

  • how is macho with that chewing gum XD

  • Is he chewing gum??

  • how did he get a chance to ride in the f 18??

  • wow every person in america (almost) knows that you never chew gum in a fihter jet what a retard

  • @darksamuari if you have ear problems its good to chew gum while flying

  • chewing gum and passing out = dush

  • ah the hilarious classic Nap Flight

  • ha ha see his face lol . I have do that

  • Actually if that is a blue angel, they do not wear g-suits. due to the inflation of the air pockets may hit the stick in really close formations. It is something that is practiced and improve over time

  • @mormana They way I've heard it is that the Angels have a modified flight stick, designed to be super sensitive with almost zero "dead zone", so pilots must rest their forearms on top of their legs for stability. If they were wearing a G -suit the bladders in their legs would move their arms around during high G maneuvers.

Also, G-Suits are for combat, when maneuvers are quick and unplanned, where as the Angels know what they're doing beforehand, so can prepare themselves for high Gs/

  • dangerous gum, could block his throat when he passed out

  • The Blue Angels fly the F-18, one of their planes has dual seats for guests, this one, but is still a variant of the f-18

  • This video shouldn't be called F18 Tourist. Because Tourist aren't allowed to do G-force training like this. I bet Steve is a student of some sort.

  • I love how he goes out, and then instantly comes back all alert and awake.

  • Wow talk about rapid reboot. Steve regained consciousness allot faster than I thought he would.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahhahhahaahah

  • How tall pilots can be for that?

  • i dont know man how tall are you?

  • Lucky he didn't choke on his gum.

  • dont u need an oxy mask on an f18?

  • not at the level they were flying at

  • i wanna try!!

  • Thats the WHHHAAAT ???

  • Another tosspot pilot.

I'd love to get this twat in the ring, and demonstrate my boxing techniques.

"There's a hook to the body",you ok bud?

"An uppercut to the jaw",hey man,get off the canvas."Two jabs in the nose" you still with me man?...."Heavy right cross to the temple" Oh shit,he's passed out.

  • lol was he passing out every time???

how much did he have to pay to do that, i wanna do it!!

  • he was g-locking which is like blacking out

  • I'd probably do even worse, but god that's funny! You can pinpoint the exact moment when he passes out.

  • Potato Stevie

  • Pilot doesnt faint because pilots are assigned to wear an oxygen mask to kind of help you stay alerted, G-Force is the shit

  • Oxygen mask has nothing to do with it. The pilot wears a G-suit and is trained to flex his core muscles to keep the Gs from pulling the blood away from his brain and pooling in his legs.

  • @cdesha Why does the mask have nothing to do with it ? even wearing the G-suit doesn't prevent losing conciousness, in order to prevent it he needs the flow of oxygen around the body therefore wearing the mask does mean that there is easier intake of oxygen, that's why when watching Red Bull Air Race you see them breathing repeatedly, but being in a faster plane means the likeness of losing consciousness.

  • @samcotter96 It's not that they are "breathing repeatedly." They are performing what is known as the "hic maneuver." No amount of breathing is gonna help you if G's are pulling the blood away from your brain lol.

  • @cdesha Exactly

  • Comment removed

  • @cdesha Excuse me! what's the maximum level of G forces the human body can take? What happens after that? Death? Thanks!

  • @cdesha Man wtf you talking about?

bullshit, pulling away blood from his brain? You make my day happy xD...

You funny =) and very WRONG!

for negative Gforces ( longitudinal ) you´ll get blackout is when your brain need more oxygen because all your blood comes to your foots, for that way u´ll need push your blood to u brain if not u´ll get G-Lock in 5-9 seconds...

For positive Gforces u´ll get Redout , is when all u blood comes to the brain ( is more dangerous )

  • @LeonidK340 You got that wrong buddy. The negative g-load will give you a redout, and a positive load will induce a blackout. Positive g-loads will first cause a grey out, then a narrowing field of sight, then a blackout and if it continues or increases, then unconciousness.

  • what/how/y did he get to ride in one

  • Its called a VIP Ride. It explains itself :P

  • "that was a long one"

    THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! xD

  • so does this happen to every person?

    they faint frequently?

    why cant the pilot faint?

  • i think each person has a different toleration. the pilot wouldn't faint because they are highly trained in anti-G straining maneuvers (breathing, tightening up muscles, etc).

  • because if the pilot faints, the aircraft crashes

  • guys gonna swallow is gum when hes passed out if hes not careful

  • Tourist? He's not a tourist, he's a high profile person lucky enough to get a ride with the Blue Angels. They don't give rides to random tourists.

  • but if you see it this way: in the F18 hornet he is, and will probably always be... a tourist...

  • The name of the video isnt: tourist riding an F18! F18 tourist means in this context, the aircraft, Steve is not trained to pull the Gs!! As a teacher calling a student a tourist......

  • is hi gona day ?

  • Good one!!!

    Tourist's face - priceless! ;DD

  • hes not doing it right because hes trying to chew gum while straining. he needs to take short quick breaths

  • is he wearing a g suit

  • probably not - because the vertical stabilizer is painted in the colors of the Blue Angles

the display pilots of these (as most aerobatic pilots) don´t wear g suits

so I think guests also don´t wear g suits

  • Waht are you on about?

  • "leroy" I really don't know, maybe not ,- I think nobody knows here,if he would wear a g suit he wouldn't pass out so quickly.

chewing the gum is quite an unlucky thing in this situation , he was lucky it didn't jumped down to his lungs.

  • At 1:37 the pilot talking in easy with his voice meanwhile the other guy cant even take a breath , i think he didn't get a g suit

  • this made me laugh so much.. im sure i wuldnt be able to take the g's but watchin it is damn hiillarious...lol

  • I love after he regains conciousness he's always like: "wow"

  • I love how you can see the color leave his face.

  • חח

  • where in the world can i get a flight in a F-18

and how much would it cost =D

  • i dont know how much it would cost but i think that if your old enough you can go up with one of the blue angels in pensacola fl

  • lol 8 gs on your vertebrae with gum in your mouth

  • this guy passes out all the time because he is not breathing right through the G's. He isn't using the kinetic K breathing technique.

  • Reminds me of NFLN when they took TD in the F16, They knocked him out too.

  • Doesn't look to healthy, pilot doesn't sound to be bothered much at all though. Hehehe, quite funny actually ... grt vid thx for posting ..

  • lol

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Why the fuck that pilot pulls like 8-9 G's with passenger that is in really bad shape and can't take it all?! Only explanation i can find to this is that... he wants his passanger DEAD!!! xD

  • Actually the F/A-18 is equipped with a G-Limiter which depends on the payload of the plane. Normally it's set to 5-6.7 Gs. The airframe of the american F/A-18 was made to handle 7.5 Gs. Only the Swiss F/A-18 C/D were modified by RUAG to handle 9 Gs.

  • LOL.. Fucking passes out all three times.

Eh, I wonder how much he payed.. Hundreds, if not a few thousand dollars just to fly.. And all to pass out. xD

  • no gum

  • You got to,at that height, keeps your ears from exploding

  • Did they teach him the "Hick" maneuver because he didn't do it through the video.

  • I THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA DIE

  • get rid of the gum, you'll choke on it.

  • His mate's like: "now Steve, before you get up there make sure you're chewing on a pack of gum or your ears are gonna hurt like a mother when you get back down!"

    Steve's like: "Thanks man!"

  • lol...wheres the gum....lol he was chewin air on the third time around lol

  • LOL: "wow, i went nowhere there for a while"

  • Atlanta Journalist taking a free ride before the Atlanta Air Show.

  • u can pay money to take a trip on a jetfighter?

  • That's cool "Are you with me Steve" Love it fantastic

  • Fail.

  • a very odd video clip.

I have to agree with some posters here, the gum idea could be trouble during the little naps.

  • That guy paid a lot of money to be knocked out like a light!

  • oh my god that was fraken funny as hell he went nowhere for a sec lol

  • hahaha i fell of my chair, that was so freakin funny!

  • wtf why is he chewing gum, against regulations

  • I is gum that helps you put up with fequent altitude change

  • in most flights with tourists gum is prohibited, If you pass out you might choke.

  • Hahaha, would be funny to see how long i would make it :-) Though i am in a good shape i would sure knock out too.

  • actually, the worse shape you're in is better believe it or not. High blood pressure = more blood to brain, so if you drink alot of beer and smoke, you'll be good

  • cool aircarft look for "riding rafale" it's worth it !

  • hahahaha nice! great experience!

  • damn if fly naked whould it make my penis even longer...?

  • lol, why does he do that, when he clearly cannot handle it... maybe he should first be hardened and then allowed to go into such a plane again.

  • they don't eat chewing gum in a fighter jet. It's a way to breath under such huge G-forces... but he seemed to be a newbie xD

  • LOL!!! for some reason that striked me as haleroius.....lololol.....i cant help but laugh...."they don't eat chewing gum in a fighter jet".....newbie...lol yea...comment back

  • Pilot told him to hold his breath.... Guess what Steve didn't do all three times...

  • this is my cuz lol thats awesome!!!

  • yeah ok

  • He's journalist who's been taken up for a demo flight. The gum would be Ginger gum to help with nausea. Even with a G-suit a person who has not built up their resistance to G-LOC (Gravity Induced Loss of Consciousness) will pass out easily during aerobatic manouvres. The pilot has a higher resistance and knows when he's starting a G-LOC and so can prevent himself passing out.

  • ...But I gotta admit that this guy don't look like a pilot at all, but still he had all the anti G-gears on him... And they were also flyin pretty low so a competent pilot will never (war is a different thing of course) do very hazardous flying movements without plenty of air under him in case of passing out etc. So this must be a pilot prank, they are laughing for us no-knowers somewhere... -TOPGUNS- =)

  • I think this is not real thing at all, possibly a pilot prank. No-one lets chew a gum in the cockpit. Fighter pilots have also special very effective gears (such as G-pants that fill with pressurised air preventing the blood going towards legs) for handling those G-powers so this guy shouldn't have really pass out; why didn't the pilot too get red on his face and drop? That's odd. Continues...

  • "Fighter pilots have also special very effective gears (such as G-pants [..] this guy shouldn't have really pass out; why didn't the pilot too get red on his face and drop?"

The pants only help with a couple Gs. The pilots are trained to fight this by flexing their legs and breathing a certain way. It's incredibly physically demanding. The pilot was basically fucking with this guy, knowing full well he couldn't take it: he could see the guy passing out.

  • blue angels don't wear g suits...

  • Thats Great Stuff!

  • jajaja

  • idiot the chewing gum will stuck in his throat.

  • thats exactly what i was gonna say! who chews gum in a hornet!

  • a tourist, that's who!

  • a tourist that wants to DIE! lol
