@Infini2k Not what I meant. History has been much abused by rulers everywhere and still is. Nehru is essentially constructing a history of India in his book by using sources available to him and episodes he sees best fits his model, its still being done by other interest groups. what I am saying is certainly we know more about our history now than anyone knew it say even 50 years back but its still colored by a spectrum of political motivations.

Discovery of India written by Nehru is an outdated and British centric source of information. Nehru was a product of British education and thus his book emphasized the Aryan invasion theory which has been proved to be patently false. Please stop reading Nehru' Discovery of India

@kunalmarjadi I bought the full Malgudi Days set from Delhi about Feb this year. It's been published by Big Media, prices at INR 2.5K-ish. Also seen box sets of Mahabharat/Ramayan etc. in Bombay. Am sure you will be able to find this in any Planet M or such shop.
