  • so just making sure, I get an rogers phone unlock it, I can use a virgin sim np?

  • @dadio2002 yes u can, as long as virgin uses the same frequencies as rogers

  • ok yo i got an unlocked phone from rogers but i wana use it with bell. i inserted the Bell sim card in the iphone but it does not show me the network. or the bar signals..

i already ((blacksnow,blackra1n.)) i got the simcard now and inssert it and nothing happens tried restarting the phone. and everything plz explain to me the stetps on how to get the phone with the right settings for bell

    thanks

  • ok i dont think thats possible cause when you get an iphone at rogers, it comes locked to rogers, if you get it at fido, its locked to fido and so on. are you on firmwaqre 3.1.3 or 3.1.2, cause 3.1.3 is currently unlockable. what i do suggest if you are on 3.1.2, is restore to 3.1.2 and do the process again

  • Yo.. i have an unlocked rogers phone but i wana use with bell.. i inserted the BELL sim card in it.. it is already unlocked ((Blackra1n, Blacksnow)).. but i don't see any of the network ... the bar signals are zero aswell.. what is the problem.. ??? explain the steps on how u manage to get the network of bell set up after installing the simcard. thanks

  • if it is properly unlocked, go to settings, general, network and make sure 3g is on. cause i have an iphone 3gs that is locked to bell, so that means i bought it at bell, not unlocked in any way, the phone loses signal when 3g is off

  • are you stupid

  • Mivillians09 do you live in the US or?

Because Rogers, Bell and Fido are providers /networks in Canada.

Networks are basically the people who you pay money to for using your phone.

  • no its the other way around, you jailbreak and then unlock. if your phone is locked to rogers and say you have a fido, bell, or telus sim, you have to unlock it for sure if you wanmt to use it. you dont necessary have to unlock. sorry for the late reply

  • oh ok so lets say i jailbroke my iphone and it came with one of those sim cards you named, than i wont to to unlock it but if i didnt come with one of those sim cards than i would need unlock it?

  • it depends where you got your iphone from, if you bought it from bell its locked to bell, if you bought it from fido it locked to fido and etc.

  • so if you want to use an iphone bought from bell with any other network, you have to unlock. but if you bought an iphone from rogers and your plan is rogers too, it is unnecessary to unlock

  • ok so im starting to understand kinda. but how do i know if im using bell or fido? and if i do get one of those i need to jailbreak than unlock and thats all? but if i get rogers i just need to jailbreak and not unlock, right? one last question how do i choose rogers or somthing and like what is rogers?

  • ok, rogers, bell, telus, fido are all networks. i understand you dont have cell phone plan yet. nowadays all neworks have the iphone. you can get an iphone from each network with a 3 year contract for 199-299 depending on the capacity. if yo uget the phone from rogers and you have the plan with rogers, no need to unlock. however if you want to use your rogers iphone later witha fido plan because they have a cheaper plan, you have to unlock. Unlocked iphone = universal iphone.

  • listen im sorry if im wasting your time i just dont wanna mess up or anythi

ok can you please just answer these questions? please

    what is a network

how will i know if i have rogers, bell, telus, fido

and can i just jailbreak and unlock it that way i dont have to wory about if i have rogers bell telus or fido?
