i broke out in tears while watching joe strummers the future is unwriten.. because i remember i was 10 when joe strummer died.. and ive grown up off of the clash threw my dad.. and i remember thats the last time i saw my dad cry.. when joe strummer died.. he was one of the people in this world who showed you there can be beauty in a persons soul..
The guy in yellow is Pablo Cook and yes he plays triangle too. He met Joe when they both wrote the soundtracks for two short films, Tunnel of Love, and Question of Honour. The song "Yalla Yalla" was originally written by Pablo and Joe

yea...we went to the last american (i belive!) show Joe and the Mescaleros , It was in San Deigo, and it was incredible...truly one of our great songwriters and musicians!! RIP Joe
Hey, checked your site ... Combat Rocks! I don't normally go for cover bands but if there was to be one The Clash would be the only one. The only band that mattered ... You have played with some awesome bands ... that must be a be a psych! I went to TORONTO to see the WHO's final tour with the CLASH in '82 but the Clash backed out for Saturday Night Live and we got Joe Jackson instead ... he lasted about 5 songs before food and bottles ect. Check out my Clash video Clash ghettodefendant

Not as well as Pablo!! That's why he was in the band and not you!

I was not being negative.
I have every Mescaleros release including the singles and the "firefighters benefit".
So, RELAX.
Take out your anger on your psychiatrist.
Pablo was a junkie.
Good musician.
But Joe made sure he was set up.
mushroomheadsquish 3 years ago
I was only kidding. Pablo played with us at the first Strummercamp. He's a cool guy. I was very pleased he joined us on stage.
By the way, my psychiatrist wants to shag your psychiatrist. And your psychiatrist will enjoy it!!

Was Joe stuck with a Red Bull product placement on this gig? He feels so sad holding that can of capitalism. Its okay Joe, we all to do it. !
dunster2007 4 years ago
Yeah right, red bull is the perfect example of capitalism...
Did it ever cross your mind that Joe liked red bull? 'Cos I do, and I don't feel sad about it...

This is one of my favorite tracks from Rock Art & the X-Ray Style. I wonder if Joe's (and the Clash's) contribution will ever be truly appreciated.
