icrosoft and Sony are only rivals in the gaming market. In the computer market, they are the best of friends. Sony makes computers, not operating systems. Microsoft makes operating systems, but I don't think they make computers anymore (is Gateway still around?). It makes sense that he'd be using a Sony computer. Now, if he were using a PPS3, that might cause some stir up some waves. Lol!

Unless the new windows 7 laptops already come with it, there is no possible device or software that can be installed?

@brianbicknell This video is about easy switching in Win 7 to display something only on PC, on both PC and projector, only on the projector or in the expanded mode using combination [windows] + [P]. You dont have to press any buttons if you set the setting once. You didn't have to push any buttons in previous Windows either

And at 0:17 you can see it's connected via a VGA cable so I don't why some people are going on about wireless display connectivity?

You can do it using FN + F5 on your laptop ONLY BECAUSE Toshiba guys did some work, so that this X button combination will make Y action, and it works only on your pre-installed as OEM win XP. (you cant do this on additional usb keyboard for example) This has nothing to do with Windows and its design. In 7 you can do the same, but on every laptop OR desktop, without worrying if your producer made such a shortcut on your notebook

That's one of my favorite features actually. It's usually quite a hassle to connect a second monitor and what-not. Two clicks and it's done. =]

On my 5 year old Toshiba laptop, if I plug in an external monitor before switching it on, I can even view the BIOS setup on an external monitor, no OS needed.

And if Win XP's already booted up, I just connect the cable and press FN + F5 and the desktop shows up on both screens.
