  • I do reps of 20 in quick order and not where I peed last night. Keep it up though, they are called hand spring push ups.

  • the primary muscle being worked here is the anterior serratus. you shouldn't do this outside on concrete where the slightest mistake could end up paralyzing you

    Cool, that makes you so awesome over the internet. Where everyone is a buff strong martial artist with a hot ass girlfriend who can do anything without the need to prove it.

    On a more serious note,

    If you can do 15 in a row, good for you. Did anyone really need to know that? Probably not. Being able to brag about something isn't really helpful on the internet. Anything you can do, there is someone who can do it better.

  • Damn dude, I'd want to bring pads. This will certainly put a lot more pressure on the point of the hand in contact with the concrete, but all that happens compared to soft surfaces is that we neglect to put pressure on the parts not in contact.

    When we push, we aim for soft targets with the knuckles, usually (we don't aim full-force at the forehead for example) which allows them to dig in a bit and spread out the force.

    So I find this 'hard surface' training to be confusing i guess.

  • I did 20 of those as warmup each weight lifting session, training every day. I don't recommend it even for young or light-weight people. It will make you broad-shouldered, but it puts way too much strain on the shoulders, damaging them. At least hold off until you work up a strong upper body, lifting a barbell with your own bodyweight on it above your head. The same goes for chinups. Both can be very destructive if you do them at the start of your body building path.

  • You need a better handstand form. Your feet should be pointed mate.

  • def. a great workout. been on it for a few weeks. u should try to walk upside down flush with the wall to a certain point. and then start your real reps. then, while still upside down, move back to original position as ending point. hehehehe. u will see what i mean. keep it up though. it's an exercise that makes you realize how out of shape you may or may not be.

  • using your knuckles is much better for your wrists. they get much balast when you stand on your hands

  • I somehow managed to land on my knees from a handstand. My right knee still hurts a bit sometimes and it was a month ago.

    I practised handstanding about three weeks in a row but now my right hand can't take the pressure. So now I'm hitting the weights.

  • I injured my right shin while attempting a hand stand into a front flip. My shin hit one corner of the table and it hurt like hell, at least for the first few days. But now its much better so you will see more videos coming soon!
