  • Now you should be allowed to put that 15min. track in one piece ? Youtube gives privileges when you have more than a certain amount of videos. Could you do upload a full version please ? Thank you in advance !

  • Tak děcka....toto je rozstřel. Geniální!!

  • @impalaboy6. You're quite correct that this was recorded at the auditorium in Pasadena, CA, but it was Aug 4, 1947! I still have the original cover and vinyl which I purchased in Tokyo following my rotation in '54. This is too beautiful for words. And the fact is it very nearly was made, as members of the group were breaking down equipment, etc., getting ready to leave. Someone, started this, then it eas on: So this is really a 'head' arrangement. It's about 23 mins. I'll time it and get back.

  • i prefer his solo at the 1954 Apollo concert in Holland

  • idd schitteren melodieus middengedeelte. m'n 45 toeren epeetje compleet grijs gedraaid. Alle nachtconcerten gezien trouwens..

  • Hamp's Solo- an absolute masterpiece- I've got the whole thing on tape- spellbinding performances by everyone.

  • Extraordinary. Lionel Hampton takes the greatest solo of his career. It is unimaginable that there is anyting superior. He was truely inspired. I would love to own a copy of the full length version.
