I love you truly, truly dear
I KNOW my recently deceased Grandmother was anti-Hitler. The words were: I love you tuly..truly dear..." I cannot imagine why Hitler's image is there. Should you find a better site please contact me at HopesChestBerlin@yahoo.com
I wish you would remove/erase this footage. Its is REVOLTING!! What the heck is this????? It is a disgrace to the memory of Ozzie and all his descendants!!
Harriet was a classic beauty, and was in some early :30'S pix. Strange that you would include A. Hitler with Ozzie Nelson. Didn't his family come to America in the early1800's? (along with many other Scandanavens)
Truly I Love This Beautiful Song . BUT I HATE HITLER!!!!!!! I Love Most All Your Vidieos But Wish You Would Post This With A Less Dispicable Being. But Thanks For Posting The Song Anyway.
This was one of Ozzie's initial recordings as a bandleader, for Brunswick on January 2, 1931. His story, from being an Eagle Scout to college football player, musician, and the star of his own radio and TV program with Harriet Hilliard (eventually becoming his own writer/producer/director) is a remarkable one. Read his 1973 autobiography, "Ozzie", if you can.
Quite a few upper-class Brits would have "compromised" with Hitler. Thankfully, the majority of our ruling-class didn't, and the bulk of the population was always suspicious of foreigners anyway. Still is really, especially the bureaucratic and authoritarian aspect to Europe.
Brilliant juxtaposition of words, music, and photos. I love this sort of sardonic humor and think it's a very effective way of ridiculing those who deserve to be ridiculed.
Photos are truly frightening, but we need to remember these things. Nevertheless, very nice song and I found the vocal moving. Harriet sang too back then didn't she?

what does Ozzie Nelson have to do with Adolf Hitler? Or are you using the song to express your love for Hitler? I don't understand...

What the hell are doing juxtaposing Ozzie Nelson, the world's nicest guy, with Hitler, the worst guy ever?! You are sick in the head!

His son, Ricky Nelson, was a much better singer.
Was one of those ladies Hitler's niece that
committed suicide?
