better in what way? what exactly do you feel labrie needs to improve on? i think his range and versatility are great. a lot of people don't like the tone of his voice. personally, after years of listening to DT I really like it. I think you should give him more time. at least to the point where you actually know his name haha

It must have been really painful for DT to accept these kind of cuts in their songs in order to make a video clip out of them.

Being a prog music songwriter myself as well, we make long song because we want to tell something with them, a story somehow, and sacrifying our creations in order to get them popular is something really hard to do... specially when producers kill them the way they did it here.
