  • Thanks for this helpfull video. I just picked up a Larson boat today from my uncle. He got a quote on what needs replacing and gimbo bearing and u joints are on the list. I'm a journeyman by trade so I'm mechanical savy. But I'm new to the boat world. What amazed me is how much a dealership charges for parts and labor. The starter needs changing and they wanted to charge him 180 for labor plus 300+ for the part. I found the starter on eBay for 89 bucks and it's a simple 20 min installation. Its

  • normally when water comes in its from a torn ujoint bellow isn't it mine takes on water when driving it i found the ujoint bellow is ripped won't that cause lots of water to come in when driving it

  • @oney135 the most likley cause is though the shfit bellows and the steering arm . does it leak at rest,

    if i t only leaks when running its most likle ysteering arm in any case pull the leg and change bellows and gimbal and u joints not a big deal i can guide you if you like

  • @TheCutthroatjake it actually leaks at rest i remembered i could drive it and it not leak but when i'd parked it to go eat lunch maybe an hour i came back and it would start then cut out so i opened the engine compartment and found the motor half submerged in water

  • @TheCutthroatjake ps check that the y pipe isnt corroded that would leak at rest but less on the plane
