bad ground conditions would mean digging out the soft dirt that doesnt compact and replacing it with sand rock or even 57 stone. NC soil is typically red clay. red clay compacts great moving closer to the beach would be sandy and a lil bit differant. but where we are located 1% of our monolithic "building" slabs would have to dug out and replaced with a compactable material. Kinda dangerous to be indicating generic foundation sizes....ground conditions will determine the footing size..
