  • great video brother!

  • @TheDemzlyChannel Thank you XD!

  • Fantastic video my friend.

  • @hlb101 Thank you =D! Really happy you liked it =D!

  • Very, very nice!

  • @lakandos Thank you =D! Glad you liked it XD =D!

  • You're underselling your skills, bro. You seem to have had some formal, quality Eskrima training. You have all the fundamentals down pat - the movements, the stance, the positioning of the live hand - you're actually quite good. I honestly can't even tell which one is your dominant hand. You handle your weapon with either hand very well. Now, the spa music... is another matter. :) Just kidding, brother, stay safe always, and wishing you more subscribers in 2012!

  • @bladesociety Thank you for the humbling comment ='D! I actually did have formal stick art training, complementing my MA background, when I was in the ME. My sensei would constantly drill us w/ the basics of the single & double sinawali, together w/ doing constant practice w/ partners. I really wish I could change the music T_T. Take care of yourself, too, & thank you =D! Will add you on one of the suggested channels to visit on the description box =D.

  • EXCELLENT TRAINING MY FRIEND! So good.

  • @DanBowenTV Thank you sir XD =D! Really humbled that you like it =D!

  • Excellent video and I hope you continue with these videos! Like Richard said, You have much talent and I hope you share them generously!

  • @ChosunNinja Thank you Master Park =D! When my sched's a bit flexible, I will make them. In fact, I have 4 videos lined up to make right now, lol! Training always reminds me of my beginning yrs. in 4th yr. high, w/c always brings me back to the roots that I learned, & then go gradual to the advanced level. Hence to where I am training-wise. I have strong empathy w/ beginners, & I hope that my vids can help them continue their martial journey =3. Really glad you liked it =D!

  • TU! good job man, I think this video gives a person a good idea how to solo train, from warm up all the way to practicing different forms!

  • @wmpyr Thank you sir Wmpyr =D! Some of the moves I've done in this vid came from you, like the nunchuck grips & the slash-backward-block-twirl-reverse-slash (sorry, forgot the real name, lol!) I still have a lot more to cover from your solo training vids =(. I try to incorporate what you teach, alongside to what I already know.

  • this was an excellent video Jay , you are multi talented I must agree with you I love Sayoc Kali one of the sites you recommended below. The music was cool and suited the video in my opinion watching graceful movements with the stick. Is that your personal gym? If so it is cool. Nice stick work nice movement of the stick and footwork. Thumbs up. Great speed too.

  • @DTGtaihojutsu Thank you, Rick =D! Sayoc Kali is actually located near the place where I used to live in the Phils. & I mean, very near. Planning on visiting them once I get my sched cleaned up XD. Glad that you still liked the music, lol, even though it wasn't my personal choice T_T. Guess I have to learn how DanBowenTV does it =/. This is the same gym where I did my kicks XD, & yes, though small, it is cool, almost complete actually lol! Really happy you liked it =D!

  • Thumbs Up

Good war up at the beginning. Reminds me of Aikido classes and what some partly do with sticks to improve joint strength and mobility. Cool variations of the figure eight, and I like thart nunchaku style grip exchange behind the back. Used to do that a lot myself. Gives you attributes and a good general feeling for the stick. All in all very well rounded I would say.

Take care and have a good week

    silk

    ;-))

  • @blacksilkblacksilk Thank you, kind sir =D! I actually found a certain youtube video that does that particular warm up since the dinosaur age, but I have to dig my whole favorites to find it, lol! Credit goes to that guy =3. The figure 8 and the nunchaku style grips were actually inspired by sir Wmpyr, on w/c I now constantly include in doing single stick practices whenever there's no space. Take care of yourself, too, & have a great week =D!
