@michealsanni u need an sd card of at least 2gb, i would recommend 4gb or above. There are plenty of guides out there and automatic installers now, check out n900 nitrdoid project site for more info
@360NextLevel please help!,ok ive got the android working but the market doesn't seem to find any apps im searching for and not even installing any, what should i do.
I dont think its a space problem cause ive got 14 gb free of external card and 15 of the internal.
If I install the latest NITDroid (self installer from DLevel-Extras) on my N900; how much will it effect the original configuration of my N900? I don't want to brick/effect the original phone in any way :/
@Ashfaqshinwary you can have both and they will be kept seperate. Ive not tested the new 1 you are speaking of but whatever you do, make sure u do a backup. Also you will need a mem card.
@LuvDoco lol sure ill look into it and see how they have progressed so far. I have been busy working on other things and some new vids will be up soon.......... N900 Tips n Tricks part 2 is one of em.....u can guess any others lol
@LuvDoco u can have both! Well it gives u the chance to see what android is like an hw the apps are etc, then you could compare it with maemo. Plus theres no harm in having 2 OS, ive got mine on the sd card and have plenty of space.
@Pantrax15 there are tutorials available on the nitdroid website. I have updated the description with another link. You will have to follow the guide, bare in mind if you don't know what you are doing then I wouldn't recommend doing it.
@MTRadio Not really I can get one if i want to.. and no I am not a PC junkie.. but I'd rather get something (since i am paying a lot of money) that can do ALOT more than an iPhone..
@Hopelessreview yeah just simply remove the sd card! and then just make sure to remove the android folder when your in maemo and the bootmenu, simple. When you get the handset back just place the card back in and complete the last couple of steps in tutorial
@07liberian ive not checked to see if there is a skype or VOIP app, im sure there prob is 1 but even then it would have to be done using the wifi connection. Since you cannot connect to a mobile network, there is no 3G or calling services available
pls make a video with all steps of getting android on your n900 i want it so bad but i dont know anything about softwares or something like that
