I am from the Philippines, and from the start of the competition, Yendi exuded great performance on the stage, right from the opening number, she owned the stage and i thought she should have won over Miss Mexico...congratulations Miss Jamaica, i love you. :)

@Angemon38 Yup, I did watch a few of ximena's interviews. I love Ximena but I thought she can be a little boring sometimes especially in her vlogs! What I meant by plain was that, she is interesting and gorgeous but her personality is definitely not as strong as Dayana or Stefania, who both has this charm and humour about them that attract people. Ximena is more of a silent killer compared to Yendi. But, to me Ximena did deserve the crown because it just wont look good on Yendi. It's fated! :P

@4evatasty: Just the exposure helps! I hear that about 3 billion people watched the pageant from all over the world and Yendi was a perfect representative! No one had to mention Jamaica's attractions.......all that had to be mentioned was JAMAICA! As a matter of fact you mentioned Jamaica FOUR times in your comment.....so looks like already we've got YOU thinking ;)

How is winning a competition like this beneficial to Jamaica? I think it's more beneficial to the pageants than it is for the country. Well, many might say it will bring more tourism to Jamaica, but how can that actually happen when there is no mention made of the many attractions of Jamaica. I learned something about Mexico's independence by her using her dress as a symbol to communicate the history of Mexico. Maybe Jamaican pageants can promote Jamaica by using one of the colors of the flag.
