No, your wrong. Our 'L' does not translate properly into Japanese. They use their "Re" sound rather than our "Le-". If you look at Deathnote, In Japanese he's called Raito but in our English, we call in Light. It depends entirely on the translator. Besides, Ren reminds me of hen...

I know, as well as the fact they use vowels alot (Except with the "n" sound) etc. But what I mean is that whenever they have a "R" in a name, most translators change it to an "L" and that annoys me. For example; Mermaid Melody. Theres a character called "Rina" but in our dub, they made it "Lina" and I think "Rina" sounds much better. "Lina" reminds me of the term "lean" ... and "Ren" actually reminds me of a character from .hack//twilight xD
