Olshansky was the recipient of a document leaked by Lieutenant Commander Matthew Diaz, that later lead to his court martial, detention, and discharge. The efforts of the Center for Constitutional Rights were impaired by the Bush administration's policy of withholding the captives' identities. Diaz had met Olshansky during a visit to Guantanamo, and he sent her a list in an unmarked greeting card. The list provided by Diaz contained the names of 550 captives.

what a bitch this woman is. a soldier at gitmo sent her the names of all the prisoners, which at the time were unknown, and she had asked for, the man risked his career, and sent her the names, she turned it over to the government, the names were never made public and the soldier was immediately fired and LOCKED UP AND CHAINED AND TORTURED. what a COMPLETE BITCH

So she wanted a list of detainees. She appealed for a list of detainees. Then she was so shocked when she got a list of detainees, so shocked perhaps that it was time to walk the walk she ran the run and DID NOTHING.

well,... Barbara Olshansky actually handed over the list secretly send to her by Matt Diaz, of all 550 detainees from GITMO, to the FBI. Matt Diaz was sent in prison, lost house and everything. Olshansky decline every try to hear her comment on this. She has never contacted Matt Diaz afterwards. The biggest question still remains: Why did you hand in the list to the FBI, when you wanted it so bad ? and why have you never said sorry to Matt Diaz - who sacrificed all he had ?
