I was shooting for the past 7 months and I TOOK ONE Baclofen, ONE ! and it is day 3 and I do not have much of any symptoms at all. Usually by 12 hours after my last fix I am puking, sweating and runny eyes, nose, diarrhea you know KICKING. this stuff is amazing. I can not belive how well I feel here almost 80 hours since my last fix. It is cheap and affordable, I highly recommend this. I would not mislead my fellow users.
it works. i did it. it helps with the crawling and the leg issues..and ur attitude overall. do not try to get high from the loperimide bcz you cant. i know how we are. anyway good luck. btw baclofen did not do a lot for me

ALSO!!! also people!! fellow addicts, dig this....all of it OVER THE COUNTER..you buy grapefruit juice, zantac, tagamet, robitussin dm and generic loperimide pills. At any wal mart or grocery store. Loperimide is a mild opiate but it does not cross the blood brain barrier, however it works on the receptors in ur body. take 2 zantac,2 tagamet and a shot of robitussin with grapefruit juice-very important. if u have a big habit u may have to take 40 loperimide 2x a day. taper down one a day tilover
And I've been taking tylenol, thinking it would help withdrawal. Damnit. My night was a bitch. Restless legs baaad. But they finally started to stop a little bit and I wondered why. It's probably because the tylenol wore off. And my dumbass just took some more tylenol.
@jdm0715 yeah,i have done that too..most OTC things will just make the RLS/RMS even worse! (especially anything with Acetaminophen or Diphendihdrimine!..ungodly shit!!)..
I just looked it up to see how it works (by way of the GABA receptors!). There's several drugs on the market (Gabatril, Gabapentin, Neurontin) that our local pain management doc prescribes FIRST to see how it works pain before giving out any opiate medications. After seeing what it is, I can see how it would help significantly with WDs. The only thing is if someone has an allergy to Neurontin, Bacolen could make them sick. Cases of sensitivity are rare though. FINALLY some useful info! Thanks!
I am on Opana for DJD and neuropathy and if I run out early my WD is a nightmare. I used to take phenergan for nausea until I developed a sensitivity to it and my doctor switched me to Zofran . When I ran out of my meds early that month I noticed the sickness wasn't anywhere even remotely close to as bad as it always was. I did some research online and read that Zofran helps WD symptoms. Ask for Zofran...and take it as prescribed...NOT prn. You'll notice a significant difference.
ive actually wondered about No2 nitrous oxide to help with the pains and whatnot..if it helps with a tooth extraction it can help with withdraw pains...they sell them on ebay as whip cream chargers..(kinda like what SteveO from Jackass had when he was going nuts!) but as long as its not abused as he did i think it might help with the aches and pains. just an idea.
but trust me it will help just gotta get up and get into something! i know i will hurt,(trust me i do) but the more you sweat, the fast your body will regain homeostasis!
also, and i know this sounds like complete and utter bullshit, but getting up staying active, doing something, clean your kitchen, your room, your car, anything to keep you going will help as a mental diversion from the pain, video games, sex, pumping iron, building something, anything to keep your mind occupied, one of the worst things is the general malaise that comes with withdrawl, the feeling like you just cant do crap! you gotta fight this, fight it like someone dogging you in the mouth!! --->
@jessyemcb are you talking about the RLS ? restless leg syndrome?...there is a medicine out there called RestFul Legs..(seriously google it) and i have found it to work quite well when stacked with some sort of OTC sleep aid...stay away from anything with acetaminophen as this will make the crawls,twitches,jerks..10X worse!
@KeithWasHere1 Ancet painr relievers are one of the most wasteful things to take, I totally agree. remember when you are wired on opiates your brain works differently, it just does. Normal pain meds dont work like they are supposed to, unless you are on your opiate. So taking something during the wd is a wash. I have heard of the rls meds, never took them during wd as I recall them being name brand still and kind of expensive, but if it works, it works. Drug habbits arent any cheaper. Thanx! CWG
@cwg138 what i have read and what i have tried seem to work..when you withdrawl your body looses iron among other things,,which can be responsible for RLS..when you replinish that iron (wheaties helps!) the RLS goes away..also caffeine helps,..you can get pure caffeine anhydrous off ebay, but be CAREFUL.! this shit will wire the ever living fuck out of you!..(too much and your heart will pop!) but it does help with the withdrawls..dont get the cheap shit though, youll get ripped! 4 grams is 11
@cwg138 best to benchmark it against Jolt cola..which is 350mg of caffeine..if you can stand jolt you can stand this..but dont take too much..it can kill you in an instant! 115mg is about the average cup of coffee,180 is a redbull.it helps me,but i have the resistance of a bull to most things.be careful out there! god bless
@cwg138 yep, they will make the withdraws even worse, especially the Restless leg, which becomes full body, legs, arms, ass, back everywhere..and that ..man oh man is that a nightmare!..its like your body is going every which direction at once and you have no control over it at all!! but i have found iron tablets and foods rich in iron (you would be surprised at what eating liver and onions will do!! im hear to tell ya!) will help alot! and i do mean alot!
@jessyemcb again check out the Bacolen, it will surprisingly take away most all the symptoms you dread having to go through. Thanx for the post, keep me updated! -CWG
@psx1337 thanx partner! You know, I was going with my friend to court one morning and a county sheriff picked them up out of the basket (going thru the metal detectors) said the same thing and dropped the bastards!!! They are glass lenses and they broke, he looked at me like....move along nothing to see here. Ooooh was I sooo mad! What a prick! Im still looking for a good replacement. That was months ago! -THanx CWG
Also, Real fast. You will start feeling very emotionally unstable for a little while. This is completely normal, as you have been numb for a long time. It wont last too long, and it's actually kinda a good feeling to cray after such a long drought. Natural endorphines are your friend. You will also start to feel that tingle up your spine again. Anything natural is good. Also, this is a great time to quit anything else you have been meaning to. It will take finally. Love- CWG
@cwg138 I beleive that its a big mistake to lead people towards Kratom or Baclofen. It once again conditions the individual to beleive they are not controlling their experience. They then continue to think that the only way to beat the feelings of "withdrawal" is to take another foreign substance. This is no doubt a difficult concept to swallow, and ive taken a lot of critizism from people who assure me thier suffering is real. There is a film which discusses how quantum uncertainty effects our
@cwg138 cont...neurological process, and vice versa. This, I believe is already partially understood by the medical community, and the blind detox is an approach at applying the concept. The idea is to make the patient unaware of their dosage in an attempt to reduce their mental impact on their state of withdrawal. Until recently I would have not known why this would be effective or possible, we are taught to believe that typical withdrawal symptoms are inevitable regardless of your mental state
@cwg138 the film is called "what the bleep do we know...", they incoorperate the very complex sciences of quantum physics and nuerological processes into a "real world" approach. Message me if any of you would like more info
@BigStrongHands This is why I love the net. We have the ability to share and learn from un-otherwise non-existent friends. I am always interested in new methods for curing ailments. Thank you very much for your input. If you have a direct link to the video, would you post it please? I am going to check this out tonight and I will post when I finish it. All the symptoms are in the mind, that I do agree. However, i can imagine it to be an extremely difficult process to master ...
@BigStrongHands Usually as persons mindset when they are about to WD is less than positive. It could prove to be very useful for people to practice it and use it when they are ready to quit. Although, drugs do cloud the mind, so again I could see it taking much discipline. If you have used this, i would have to assume it IS possible, making it a valid method for turning ones life around. And not just with kicking drugs, I see a very broad spectrum of applications for this in life. Thanx again!
@BigStrongHands I need to clarify a bit about the first post. When I say all the symptoms are in the mind. I am not saying there are not physical WD symptoms as well. I am saying that your brain ( which is not the same as the mind ) dictates the symptoms by chemical signals it interprets then passes that message along and manifests a certain feeling or physical condition. I consider the brain to be a filter of the mind. If you can control your mind, I would assume the brain would follow.
@cwg138 Im glad you got a chance to check it out man...I admire you for pursuing help for yourself and others on this matter, and for keeping an open mind. Thanks for your effort!
i have been using kratom and its been anything but a miracle. it is addictive though so just be careful. insomnia is the worst part and kratom has allowed me to sleep at least six hours a night. good luck and dont quit!!! anyone can do it.
@OmnipotentTechnique7 Thanx for post. Yup I agree with what you said about Kratom. I havent used it, but what you posted is exactly what I heard about it. It's kind of a double-edged sword. I personally think it should be used sparingly, and with extreme discipline. Kind of a last resort, in case you are about to bust through the window to go get a fix. I would like to hear more from the people who have used it. It would be interesting to see how it is across the board. Thanx! - CWG
constricted pupils for how ever long you've been hooked, opiates do that. This destroys your natural sleep cycle. Exercise, daylight and bananas are your biggest allies when it comes to sleep. You can try some valarian root to give you a little help because that only works acutely, hence is not habit forming. That's it. The nausea, diarrhea, muscle aches, and Malaise are 86'd by the Baclofen. Find a routine, listen to music, and start enjoying your life again. You've been away too long. - CWG
@cwg138 I tried bananas everytime i wded from dope and it didnt really help my rls but everyones diff. im on day 14 and im seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. crawling skin and rls is all i feel now which imho is bearable.
@OmnipotentTechnique7 As drug addicts, our potassium levels plummet for some reason. Which is why Bananas get mentioned a bunch when going through WD. Potassium is a metal which when fully absorbed in the body, oxygenates your muscles, through your red blood cells along with iron.Problem is that you body is soo out of whack when you eat them, it is tough to let your body know what to do with the potassium. Best to stock up on it the week before you begin to DT, and then casually while your DT'n
@omnipotentTechnique7 btw for everyone reading...this is to help with the RLS ( Restless Leg Syndrome, or someone earlier coined RMS, Restless Muscle Syndrome ) Don't get me wrong the Baclofen (the main drug for this video )will help a great deal with the RLS/RMS. Once you have Baclofen, you will be surprised how many things you don't need that you used to or thought you may still. Start there first, then keep all the other stuff on ready-to-go table just in case.
your eyes are sensitive to light during this time, but it is important to remember that you do not have much of a circadian rhythm anymore (natural sleep cycle) You need to get that back so you can sleep naturally again, with out getting hooked on sleep aid. 80% of successful recovering addicts get hooked on sleeping pills after junk. The time your eyes are exposed to daylight, will directly reflect the time your eyes want to close during the night. You have been living with (continued)
Now I said most of the WD symptoms. You will still have sleeplessness, mild loss of appetite and minor RLS. Bananas, or a potassium supplement. I recommend bananas, because their loaded with K., it gets you eating, they are easy to take down, and your body will start to learn again to naturally break down nutrients from food again. If you go for the supplement, take it with something you can get down. For sleep, take short frequent walks, Do NOT wear Sun-glasses. I know (continued above )
to give you an edge out of the gate. Knock the 72 hours WD/DT to under 48. The Baclofen will mask most ALL the WD symptoms, but if you stop taking them and your still in your body's WD time, you will start to feel sick. So that's why it's best to taper down, lower the POSSIBLE window of feeling crappy. (what happens if you drop your Baclofen down the sink, and you still have time to go?) Cover your bases, I cannot stress that enough. Leave yourself an out, in any situation. (continued above)
There have been many requests as to the exact method I used to kick off Heroin. First of all, you have to really, sincerely want to quit. If you don't have that, don't even bother, you're not ready. Your going to be changing your mindset as well as your chemical wiring. That's half the problem. Next, make a strong effort to taper lower your dose the days before dt-day. WD's CAN last a week, but they dont HAVE to. I recommend 2-3 days. No sense dragging it on, just enough (continued above )
Guys, thank you for posting! I feel there has been some very good feedback from some very serious and real people here. I encourage everyone to network with each other as much as they can. There is nothing like the unconditional support of a complete stranger in your same situation! It helps clear the air for a new front to blow in. Keep it up! - Love CWG
thats bullshit ive been clean a month cold turkey i took opiates for 7 years and never heard that ive heard of it just not to detox with thats our govt not lettin us know the usefull healthy information well im plannin on stayin clean but that is great info thanx
SRY ONE MORE THING, THEY ARE EASY TO GET YOU SHOUDNT HAVE A PROBLEM GETTING THEM FROM A DOCTOR DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS A NON NARCOTIC TYPE DRUG. GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND GET THE BAC AND STOP THE OPIATES THEY ARE JUST GONNA LEAD YOU TO A DEAD END STREET BUT WITH THE BACLOFEN YOULL COME ACROSS A STREET CALLED FREEDOM.
JUST WANTED TO ADD, I WAS TAKING UP TO 15 10 MG OXYCODONE PILLS A DAY AND RIGHT WHEN YOU GET THAT FEELING OF INTENSE MASSIVE CRAVINGS AND WITHDRAWAL, BACLOFEN IS A LIFESAVER. I REALLY WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT THIS COULD QUITE POSSIBLY BE YOUR WAY OUT OF ADDICTION. IT MAY SOUND TO SIMPLE OR THERES NO WAY THIS IS GONNA WORK. MY PROMISE TO YOU IT WILL , DO NOT SUFFER NO MORE, GET YOUR ASS SOME BACLOFEN.
ONE DAY I WAS GOING THROUGH OPIATE WD AND I TOOK BACLOFEN FOR SOME FEASON AND RIGHT AEAY THE CRAVINGS AND WITHDRAWALS WENT AWAY. I LOOKED IT UP ONLINE AND FOUND THIS GUY AND NOW I TAKE BACLOFEN FOR OPIATE WITHDRAWAL AND I FIND AT LEAST 40-60 MG A DAY MAKES U FEEL NORMAL. NO CRAVINGS NO WITHDRAWALS. HONEST TO GOD THIS DRUG IS AMAZING AND THIS GUY IN THE VIDEO IS 110% RIGHT.
Not only did the Methadone Clinic save my life!! But I do not miss those days of burning up the phone or calling my doctors trying to get more pills. I admit it does cost me $, but nowhere even close to what I use to spend buying off the street. I now have a life !!
@MrAmp8888 I am glad you have found a way out of the Daily run-around. I truly am. I agree, it is cheaper than the street junk. However, what will you do if your state/country decides to end your methadone program? How much will you be willing to pay for your crutch then? Or will it force you back to the hard stuff? MrAmp, these are scenarios people need to understand can become a reality overnight. They have happened before. There is nothing wrong with a band-aid, but how long do you wear it?
so i found some old hydroxyzine 25mg tabs. will that possibly help ease some anxiety or help me sleep? any other tips would help. i got off dope numerous times but fig i would see if anyone haa some input. thx and keep up the fight.
@OmnipotentTechnique7 If you can take it without losing it, go for it. I recommend only taking benzo or anti-anxiety medicine at night, and with a strong conviction that you may be able to get some sleep. No matter how much you are in hell during the day. You dont want to feel like running a mile, but not having the desire or the energy to do so. It is already a nasty paradox as it is w/out the extra drugs. Better off just taking Bananas at night for the potassium boost, that will kill the RLS.
so i shot .2g -1 gram of dope of day for four years. i have been clean but on subutex since april 2010. i just went 33 hrs but gabe in and took .2 mg of sub.
A doc I knew who assisted people in opiate detox said that most people were unaware of this
simple treatment: When you're going through the worst part of the detox, when you feel like you're going to crawl out of your skin, lay in a hot bath with some epsom salts. Cover your face with a warm wet washcloth. Lay there all night and day if you need to. Works wonders!
I QUIT ROXYS ON A SHORT TERM SUBOXONE..I ONLY HAD 2 8MG PILLS THAT I USED OVER A WEEK ...BROKE THE SUB N 2 FOUR PIECES..TOOK 2MG A DAY FOR A WEEK N A HAF...THAT WAS ALMOST 3 MONTHS AGO...NO WITHDRAW AT ALL AND I WONT LOOK BACK ..LIFE IS MUCH BETTER AND I SAVED A TON OF MONEY ;)
Thank you so much for the info! I've tried quitting a couple of times by using sedatives but they didn't help much at all. So I resumed my opiate use in fear of withdrawals and I can't afford to check into a methadone/suboxone clinic but now I'm seriously gonna try this. I almost lost all hope of recovery. Oh and by the way...you look like Ben Affleck...no joke.
@TheWaynelds thank god i seen this i was going too, i took sahar quill b4 and it fd my p high up and made me really chill and sleepy so i thought it would help withdraw i guess not lol,
@bigseen95 It will make you sedated enough to fall asleep, but for some reason it aggrivates the RLS or RMS (restless muscle syndrome as i call it since its not just the legs) a LOT worse and makes it impossible to fall asleep. The only way i was able to relief it was to get on my old wieght bench and lift the hell out of some weights (at 4:30a.m.) until my arms and legs were too sore to move.
hey hoser .... i totally agree w this backlophen theory, i went to detox and talked them into hooking me up w like 10 backlofens at night and it helps....on the straight n narrow again buddy gimme a call
Best Advice..go to a detox..get it done right..no bs..just straight out feel like death for a week or 2..give it 40 days..and do the rehab bit (take 90 days vacation from life..the hell it..do it for you..can't do it for anyone or thing else.)..
Ditch the pride.deflate the ego.and keep an open mind, take some advice from those there.
Avoid the methadone clinic.
And as for this drug and that drug he mentions..well -
If there were A pill to cure addiction.. I would abuse that aswell.
@mintycbo This is for people that cant afford rehab. It dsnt cure addiction Remember addiction is not a condition, it's just a result. A result of a much bigger problem.I agree Getting to the source of the problem is the only way to keep yourself clean. Baclofen is just the best umbrella for withdrawal storm. I have used it, and others have. It is hands down the most comfortable way to DT off opiates. I have not experienced anything else that even comes close to it. Good post, and thanx - CWG
I got off dope by going to the Methadone clinic, that was 5 yrs. ago.. now i'm hooked on methadone, though i dont get high it keeps me 'Normal' all day. I wanna get off this crap and I wonder if there is anything that would help other that just going down 5 mlgs. every week, which would take forever! Methadone withdrawel is 100 times worse than dope withdrawel, if u can even imagine that!
@genesisjo6 I went to the methadone clinic for 2 years, was on 100mgs a day. When I finally decided to get off the done I went down 1mg a day down to 20mg and then quit cold turkey from there cause the clinic was giving me sh!t about paying my balance off, obviously theyre more worried about money than treating people, especially since they are tax payer funded but they still want to act like you're causing theyre business to fail cause you owe them 50bucks, even tho they made thousands off me.
@genesisjo6 Anyways, I got clean, it was really hard though. But after being clean for 6months or so I relapsed and am now addicted to oxy again. Its a never ending fight. Good luck, you maybe better off just staying on the methadone.. Or getting a suboxone script
@jtube740 Pull their Patient statistics for the past 10 years. And ask them why their is a constant increase in patients as the years go on. You would think a successful program would keep up with the demand of new addicts while servicing old ones out the door. They cant give you an honest answer. The only thing Methadone does, is give you a chance to cut out all the B.S. that you used to go thru to get your fix, that's IT. If thats' what your looking for it's a good program for you. If not...
@TheKalen486 I haven't tried the Alternative-Opiates. But I have heard a great deal of things good and bad about Kratom. I have heard it works most of the time, especially at the peak of the WD. But is expensive and the half-life is short lived, plus it is also addictive. If you go the substitution route, be sure you are not just tacking on another millstone. That's the problem with Methadone, and buprenorphine (Subutex, Suboxone) It doesn't end the dependency. Post some more about Kratom please
ibogaine can work , but it can also give u a nervous breakdown if it goes wrong, there is no quick fix, that all addicts want due to impatience, this causes addiction.
@genesisjo6 I really hate to say this, And this sounds like such an ass thing to say, but the only way your going to kick methadone after being on it that long is by going back to your opiate of choice until the methadone kicks out of your system, then kicking it CT. You'll have at least a chance that way. The Methadone protocol groups by design get their funding by keeping more and more people on their rosters. It is not in their interest to get you clean. Think about it. Ask them to.....
@cwg138 -YEP!That is the honest truth about these meth.clinics! They are more than willing to raise your dose but the minute you want to start decreasing the dose to get off it all together and then they fill your head with fears on getting off of it!
@cwg138 I wish you wouldnt pollute people with your poisonous disinformation. The ability to recover from methadone and to avoid withdrawal is within your mind.
@BigStrongHands Thank you for your input, I'm serious... I know.. I myself was a dis-believer and was quite reluctant to post this because of the blow-back it may have on certain people. I know opiates carry emotional baggage, that's 1/2 the problem in the 1st place. But, please dont let your posts be emotional. Please include, objectively why you are taking this position. I am really interested, and I will not remove a post of an honest persons input. I hope toe hear back from you.! Love.-CWG
@cwg138 My mistake cwg, my agitation was aimed towards @genesisjo6's comment "the only way your going to kick methadone after being on it that long is by going back to your opiate of choice until the methadone kicks out of your system, then kicking it CT" this is poisonous thinking and it only conditions your mind to beleive you cannot do it any other way. If your interested in why I feel this way, I explained myself in detail in the comment section at watch?v=sqIFNx8Ra-8&feature=related
@genesisjo6 take a suboxen for 2 days then just dont take anything ever again... drop all your friends that have anything to do with drugs and start working.. youll be fine
@genesisjo6 smoke weed man i was on methadone for 2-3 yrs n i kicked it i was on 70 mgs. n weed bro is a life saver, i got my lisence n shit the weed no adays is like takin like 3 vics anways so shit try that if u can.
@genesisjo6 Im in the same boat as you, except im trapped on suboxone. It's pretty stupid that we still go through withdrawals from drugs we havent done in 4-5 years. We already paid our dues and did the time in Withdrawal while we were using. Now that we've been off the drugs for multiple years, we still gotta put up with this shit? I dont get it. I dont even eat that much sub either. I take a 3rd of one a day, how the hell is that anywhere near enough to make me sick if i dont take it anymore?
@genesisjo6 been through it brother 10 year meth habit it make H cluck look like a cold i had to use Britlofex in uk rehab but this Baclofen works so so well try it
Kratom is an all natural opiate substitute that REALLY WORKS. This isnt a vitamin or an herb to be underestimated. Learn more at WWWkratomtherapyCOM and @KratomTherapy
OMG yes!!! Ive suffered from RLS since I was a very young child and as I have gotten older found they have worsened.....especially during detox. I made the mistake of taking Seroquel and it was 6 hours of absolute HELL...
I'm just wondering how a muscle relaxer, which is what baclofen is, helps you with opiate withdrawal... Are you saying they ease the withdrawal period or what? because i'm not getting this exactly.
It is ambiguous as the widely used protocol drug Clonidine. This is a heart medicine is normally used to treat hypertension and other cardio-afflictions used along with beta-blockers, that for years has baffled doctors as to why it helps Opiate WD symptoms. They are not exactly sure why Baclofen works well, but it does. I personally think that when your body is rebounding, it helps to dull the receptors that are creating the muscle spasms and cramping.
@Nibbz23 When you are not experiencing the muscle pain, it probably helps overall with the experience, and your body is a little less volatile. Easing the entire experience .You also have to consider that Opiates themselves, by their very nature are muscle relaxers. Baclofen may even trick one of the three opiate receptors into thinking it is being used. Again, I am not totally sure overall....but I know it works.
No F'n Way Dude... What the hell is wrong with Doctors these days. Why are they so caught up in the money trap like all the rest of the scum of the earth. I have been trying to kick for a long time, and I can not afford programs or expensive meds. Good lookin out! I'm gonna check this out. Thanx!
Thanks for this info, I had heard about this somewhere before but had no idea that it worked THAT good! I cant believe all the clinics and doctors I have visited over the years refused, or were ignorant of this method for detoxing. Sometimes I really wonder if they want to help addicts or rather keep them hooked on a maintenance program. Listen to this people, its good advice. I visited a different family doctor and he wrote me a script right away knowing this works. Thank you for posting this!

115mg is about the average cup of coffee,180 is a redbull.it helps me,but i have the resistance of a bull to most things.be careful out there! god bless

There is a film which discusses how quantum uncertainty effects our
BigStrongHands 3 weeks ago
@cwg138 cont...neurological process, and vice versa. This, I believe is already partially understood by the medical community, and the blind detox is an approach at applying the concept. The idea is to make the patient unaware of their dosage in an attempt to reduce their mental impact on their state of withdrawal. Until recently I would have not known why this would be effective or possible, we are taught to believe that typical withdrawal symptoms are inevitable regardless of your mental state

However, i can imagine it to be an extremely difficult process to master ...
cwg138 3 weeks ago
@BigStrongHands Usually as persons mindset when they are about to WD is less than positive. It could prove to be very useful for people to practice it and use it when they are ready to quit. Although, drugs do cloud the mind, so again I could see it taking much discipline. If you have used this, i would have to assume it IS possible, making it a valid method for turning ones life around. And not just with kicking drugs, I see a very broad spectrum of applications for this in life. Thanx again!
cwg138 3 weeks ago
@BigStrongHands I need to clarify a bit about the first post. When I say all the symptoms are in the mind. I am not saying there are not physical WD symptoms as well. I am saying that your brain ( which is not the same as the mind ) dictates the symptoms by chemical signals it interprets then passes that message along and manifests a certain feeling or physical condition. I consider the brain to be a filter of the mind. If you can control your mind, I would assume the brain would follow.

- CWG

You have been living with (continued)
cwg138 3 weeks ago

(continued above)
cwg138 3 weeks ago
There have been many requests as to the exact method I used to kick off Heroin. First of all, you have to really, sincerely want to quit. If you don't have that, don't even bother, you're not ready. Your going to be changing your mindset as well as your chemical wiring. That's half the problem. Next, make a strong effort to taper lower your dose the days before dt-day. WD's CAN last a week, but they dont HAVE to. I recommend 2-3 days. No sense dragging it on, just enough (continued above )

@bigseen95 It will make you sedated enough to fall asleep, but for some reason it aggrivates the RLS or RMS (restless muscle syndrome as i call it since its not just the legs) a LOT worse and makes it impossible to fall asleep.

@jtube740
I quit after about 19 years.
baclofen is good for back spasms, but it had no benifit in my withdrawl.
pregabalin is useful, but the best one is lofexidine, it stops the chills etc, it lowers noradrenalin levels.
I had withdrawl for about 5 weeks from methadone 95mg.
the feeling of nails being hammered in my joints were the worst.
being neutral minded and recognising destructive thoughts also helps, if u still want it, WD will make u weep.

I'm just wondering how a muscle relaxer, which is what baclofen is, helps you with opiate withdrawal... Are you saying they ease the withdrawal period or what? because i'm not getting this exactly.
Nibbz23 4 months ago
@Nibbz23
I personally think that when your body is rebounding, it helps to dull the receptors that are creating the muscle spasms and cramping.
cwg138 4 months ago
@Nibbz23 When you are not experiencing the muscle pain, it probably helps overall with the experience, and your body is a little less volatile. Easing the entire experience .You also have to consider that Opiates themselves, by their very nature are muscle relaxers. Baclofen may even trick one of the three opiate receptors into thinking it is being used. Again, I am not totally sure overall....but I know it works.
