Nice video. I was wondering though how do you unlock the extra characters like lizard man for use in multiplayer. Right now I just have the original set of characters for multiplayer that you start out with.Thank you for your time.

I can't remember the combinations, but each initial character you finish the game with - you'll unlock an extra one. Quickest way to do it is to set the game to '1 round' and blast through with each character.

boy did i love soul blade 4 ps1, never play soul calibur b4 so im thinkin of getting bak into soul blades/caliburs again but one question wut about that blocking, u cant hit away an enemies sword anymore?

In addition to regular blocking there are high and mid parries and repelling moves. These are activated by either hitting 4,1,6 or 3 + Guard just before an incoming attack connects.

Soul Blade(PS) and Soul Calibur I(DC), WILL always be the best out of the series.

Dont get me wrong Soul Calibur 2,3,4 are fun, but you cant beat the Originals(Prequels).

lol...i remember back in the day i was playing Soul Calibur 2 with my friend. I was like he was Voldo...I was kicking his ass. I knocked him up into the air then i was called so i paused the game. When i came back and looked at the screen...voldo...had a boner NO JOKE! Anyone else ever get that!?

Actually in this episode it said "out of the ring" not "ring out".

Sorry my mistake. In the japanese version it said "out of the ring" and in the US/PAL version it said "ring out". Don't know why they changed it though.

Yeah this is the Japanese version. I don't understand all the dialogue changes that go on in games either. I just finished playing through Panzer Dragoon Saga again this evening, I'm grateful the original dialogue has been retained - the subtitles however barely follow what's actually being said. Even really important bits have been completely re-written.

Pretty much everyone, really. But I remember I was using Link most often.

I really loved the weapon change feature in that game, because there are different strategies we could come up with each weapon!

I really hate the Soul Calibur sequels with a vengeance and avoid part 4 like the plague. The best thing about that game's release is that many players I know who have stopped playing Soul Calibur have come back to playing this original version.

Ah, I'm glad that there are players who think that. Most of the fighting game populous seem to think that colorful shit, selectable weapons and Custom characters make a game. Not so, Soul Calibur is a shell of its former self and lost its identity.

I agree, SCIII and SCIV suck hard, although I indulge SCII because it isn't too different from SC. Besides, Lizardman didn't get fucked up in SCII. :/
