And "A Current Affair" moved to KDAF (then "Fox 33", now "The 33") in 1989 until 2006. The short-lived revival of "A Current Affair" aired on KDFW Fox 4 in 2005. As for "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune", they now air on KTVT CBS 11.

Yes, Jane McGarry (who co-anchored the 5 PM newscast with Larry Estepa) anchored the Noon newscast, though she'd be paired with Mike Snyder for both the 6 and 10 PM newscasts come 1992.

FYI: KXAS was called Channel 5 News in the early 80's to 1990, then they became Texas News 5.

Then in either 1997 or 1998 the news brand was changed to "NBC 5 Texas News". Since either 1999 or 2000, it's called simply "NBC 5 News".
