the "good, little children" would all go to the LIBRARY to STUDY and do their HOMEWORK!
They would also drink their milk and eat all their vegetables!
I'm still waiting for the T.V. reality show where Arne Duncan, Bill Gates, Michelle Rhee, Davis Guggenheim, et al. attempt to teach Remedial Math at a junior high in the inner-city!
I am a Alumni of this school and it was nothing like this film made it look. A trashy white woman and her white husband was out to destroy the history and image of this school. I was a student when this was filmed and all the negativity displayed can take place at any school. If you really want the truth come visit the school your self.
Funny how you use the derogatory remarks such as "white trash." Kind of just shows the ignorance you have. These successful OSCAR WINNING directors' purpose of this film was to just point out the injustice for the No Child Left Behind act for the minority in education in an urban area here in the United States. Despite the negativity in terms of academics, the directors also showed Douglas having a wonderful music program, choir, a great debate team and basketball team.

Why didn't this movie get the same attention as the "Waiting for Superman" movie?
