The music director,Shankarrao Vyas of this song was elder brother of Pandit Narayanrao Vyas, one of the all time best Hindustani classical singer of Gwalior Gharana (School. Both these Vyas brothers were disciple of the legendary Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, who opened chain of Gandharva Sangeeta Mahavidyalayas first in Lahore in 1901(which was the first ever music school opened by any one in British India, and later in Mumbai, Nasik etc.
The music director is not Vasant Desai. It is Shankarrao Vyas. Vasant Desai was the music director for a later movie also called Ram Rajya, but that was much later, in 1967. This movie is from 1943.
Sometime in the early or mid 70s one narinder Bibi copied this tune and sang a shabad (Sikh religeous hym) on the same tune to the shabad 'Jo Mange Thakur Apne te soi soi deve'Anyone heard it
