theoretically a Rail gun or Linear Induction Magnetic Accelerator has no upper range limit with super capacitors and a Nuclear reactor you can hit targets from Horizon to orbit to Horizon with little problem. in space it has no range limit you could set one up near the asteroid belt and have unlimited Ammunition and Hold the Earth to ransom. we have military's that would dominate the world with such Weapons of Mass Destruction...
