Production Z out their. The CSL m3 is approx 300 lbs lighter then the coupe with 30 more HP while retaining 4 seats! It's the same as the V8 e92 m3 in a strait line, and way faster on a track. FACTs.
@luckeycraig heres some more facts. The M3 is a 13.0 second car, as is the 370z and the 07-08 350z. e92 does quarter mile in mid 12's... The CSL comes with an SMG transmission which was known as being a garbage tranny in the time... look it up ANYWHERE, the manual was always faster in the e46 M3. That why for the new M3 they used a different SMG. CSl did 8:22 seconds on nurburgring and the newest m3 did 8:06, so it not faster on a track as the new M3, in fact its considerably slower. FACTS
@TheVengefulCo the SMG in the E46 was a good transmission, in fact it was the same one as in the 6 speed. the only difference was that instead of a clutch pedal. It had a hydraulic pump doing all the clutching for you, which was way faster than any human could ever do. Just put it on S6 and floor that baby.

I will say the 370z is more responsive but doesnt have the power up top that my M3 had....no way you will walk down an M on the highway or keep up at the track. HOWEVER....what you drive has nothing to do with how much you make. I make 120K CASH a year...and although I could buy a 60K car Id rather buy one for 30 and put 10 into it. Get some.

Why put a 4.5L Titan V8 when you can just get the GTM stroker kit and stroke the 3.7L to a 4.5L AND keep the 7500 RPM redline? BMW 328i, & 135i's get eaten up. Mustang and Camaro drivers keep facing straight ahead when they see me. Chargers, all I can say to them is they hate this one term: Power to weight. All in all, it's what you like.

It was in fact too awesome and with rising production costs (stronger yen and weaker dollar) it couldn't be sold for a reasonable price. The engineering and quality put in the cars was simply too much when the economy didn't support it any longer. There was more engineering in one piece of those cars than an entire domestic car.

@Blank101ful nissan isnt worried about putting a v8 in the z for many reasons 1 they have a 3 versions of the same v6 which has 480 hp the other 535 and the latest 545 and the 2nd reason why nissan wont dare put a v8 in a z is because of weight distribution, they do have the v8 with 420hp to do it but it would be to nose heavy, but i wouldn't be surprised if they put an old gtr "08-11" engine or their 5.6l v8 in an infiniti g to compete with the m3

The 370z suck ass the 350z was good for its time intact it was excellent for its time but now it's time is over and the 370z isn't enough for today's sports cars it's too slow doesn't have a V8 or enough horsepower it's just a waste who would buy a 370z over a 2011 mustang or a camero? @lorddziub Sorry but you are all wrong. They're plenty of youtube videos showing a vette c6 getting beat by m3's and m5's. All stock. The m5 has 507 hp, the new one has around 560hp. Plus this was a drag, bmw's are meant for speed around corners.
