Interesting. My gym doesn't have any real straight pull-up bars into the wall like that, but they have multiple grip angles and I think I could come up with my own version. Will try this out!
like two months ago i could only do nine or ten good pullups, im at twenty now. twice a week on a leg day i would do four sets of pullups each one till failure. the last set when you cant do anymore have a buddy slightly push your feet up and do as many as you can do with the least amount of help. the first couple times i did that my lats were sore for three days
@xcatreyux How much time between sets? I'll give it a try, but I've been giving myself a minute rest between sets and am wondering whether I should cut it down to 30 second rests. Your reply would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, using TUT principles with bodyweight helps as well. Taking 4-7 seconds to go up, hold for a second or two, and take 4-7 seconds to lower to deadhang, and repeat. You won't get nearly as many this way, but that's because you are actually doing MORE work than usual. When you test for numbers without using TUT you will find your numbers have greatly increased. Testing every other week or so is enough to determine progress.
