@webmiracle This is a wonderful way of doing things, and I betcha God taught you a lot after you asked! But a mantra is a short, meaningful phrase that you say over and over and over again, with the purpose of both imbedding its energy into our lives and beings, and zenning out into the land of peace. So your prayer was not really a mantra, unless you said, How do I become selfless and learn the truth and selfless love? How do I become selfless and learn the truth of selfless love? good idea!

Nice vid. I want to point out that advaita is dangerous if you associate yourself with nothingness and with God. This can make you crazy, I saw people mad. Remember, that you are made out of sincere love and you are just a part of God. This way you won't lose the beauty of life and your soul. God is everything, God is pure love created everything. A part is unable to comprehend the whole ever.

@webmiracle Interesting, thankyou. I've noticed a tendency to jump ahead with the practice and push yourself into feeling 'I am god, I am nothing' without fully realising the root - and yes, losing touch with the beauty and love that is felt from a god that is more than the self.

@webmiracle I read papaji's biography on his website which was interesting in this respect because he was a krishna devotee and spent many years in total loving devotion to god - then only when this process had cleansed him of all desire and distraction, he went to ramana maharshi and was cleansed of even this love for god and attained self realisation where he became no longer identified with the 'part that is unable to comprehend the whole' and resided as the whole itself. I now see people with different ways. The truth is indeed different for some, according to who they meant to be in this life. This is ok. I just wrote these words for those who is going the way similar to that I went. These statements let them suffer much less during the transformation, otherwise they will face a conflict about `You are God` and `There is no meaning in the being` as I faced and nearly combusted overwhelmed with energies =))

@webmiracle Yes, there's definitely some statements that make some people's heart sing and resonate straight away, which for others only cause stress and anguish! I've found the same thing. That's the imperfection of words to express the infinite, I suppose.

Each to follow his own heart, I guess, therein lies the good stuff. :-D
