@PJacko1985 Trance music, sadly, is uncomplex beats that repeat, often in different 'instruments'. A study of trance will reveal that nearly all of the music is set in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, or 3/8 time signatures, the most common signatures used in any genre. I used to love trance, until I discovered jazz. Try listening to a song in D minor diminished on a 25/16 signature. Counting with it will blow your mind.

@godthegourd Who listens to trance for absurd time signatures? Although I appreciate jazz, the point of trance is not to be wow'd by crazy rhythmical elements, but rather to build atmosphere effectively and create emotion. Jazz doesn't do that for me. To each his own, though.

I used to listen to JMJ and Klaus Shulze and Asura... but the whole thing is so repetitive... I can't see how it would change the world. And not only does Jazz have "crazy rhythmical elements", but talent and MUSICAL THEORY. I would bet you couldn't derive a diminished scale, a critical element in good jazz.

@godthegourd Lol, why bother arguing more, as well as attacking my musical prowess? Believe it or not, there's a lot of talent that goes into making a trance (or any professional electronic) song. It all lies in audio engineering, which is a very technical field and requires years to master. Jazz and trance are very different, and like I said earlier, to each his own. Before you argue some more, trance is not even my favorite type of music. I'm just presenting my less biased opinion.

I spent 4 yrs of my life to learn how to make sound effects and master audio tracks, so I do appreciate how difficult it is.
