  • You can tell right away he didn't RTFM. This vid barely scratches the surface of what it's capable of.

  • I love your videos...are you Jack Black?

  • I think we should bear in mind it's run into a small bottle amp, which can make it sound janglier and even shriller than the amps and pedals the thingy tries to emulate. Agreably though there have been far worse emulations made which has ended up on best selling records.

  • Im sorry to say, but this doesn't impress me. My hardwire pedals and my other digiech pedals sound better than this unit. I honestly can''e see why someone would go out and spend $219.00 for this unit. Youc an achieve distortion sounds from The Digitech line of hardwire pedals, and their bad monkey, and some of their other pedals. I'm not trying to diss this pedal, but from what i'm hearing, i'm not impressed.

  • @RollerCoasterFenatic well it's got all your pedals in one. THATS THE POINT OF IT!

  • trust jack black and buy this. its awesome

  • Damn these sound good.

  • good day to you.. can you please tell me the difference between soundblox and soundblox pro??

  • @09201986PGM The PRO has the EQ and the convenience of different user's presets, I believe.

  • I have the thing, takes some work to get where ya wanna be.

It's not good with rolling back your guitars volume, sound craps out.

This is one of those boxes that I wanted to love , but I just can't.

Turns out I just want a very good sounding overdrive.. this isn't that.. now I know..

  • @juliedog464 Two really good overdrives are the Digitech Tone Driver and the very overlooked and discontinued Zoom Hyper Lead HL-01.Both are very good and very different from each but are nice to have imo.

  • @juliedog464 i'd like to check out the Nobel and the Hardwire Value Tube

  • @juliedog464 Nobels is the juciest overdrive I've ever played, hands down.

  • @marknettles I bought it. A very very good sounding and expressive pedal. You could really buy two and it would make total sense. It's sound pallet is Broad! I also bought the Hardwire Value Tube. Good and Good.

  • I'm liking this demo!

  • Why did the regular (non-pro) version sound SO much better than this one? (going just by GMD's two reviews).

  • @burmanmusic Could it be because the EQ is flat for most the video?

  • @anotherheartintl I was thinking of the distortion itself. Could be the video. Doesn't matter - I'm intrigued enough and impressed enough to go try one for myself.

  • $219.00?? Difficult to listen to! If I was Dr. Z, I would sue this company to pull this video right away...

  • Hey german dude, what do like better the Multiwave or the Classic Distortion?

  • Great review!

is it just me, or did I hear a "hey daddy" after the el raton mode? (rat mode)

  • All tones sound pretty much the same, except for the metal setting and octaver... IMOP

  • sweet

  • 1000 bad distortion sounds in just one box - amazing

  • Steven Wilson Like's it, there must be a reason xD

  • at the first time i thougt he is german but then i read germanndude^^

  • Whoa, did Dr. Z have too much to drink last night?

  • I think this is too modern for the gmd to understand , also noise gates suck more than reverbs suck , and all all sounds digitarl to me

may as well use a peavey profex than that fizz brick

  • Long time viewer, first time poster...real smorgasboard of dirt you got there! Gotta wonder if that baby would be half the size & price without the disco lights though. Keep up the great demos, love your work!

  • GMD what is YOUR favorite Distortion pedal? What are your top 5 distortion/OD/fuzz pedals? a vid or reply would be really interesting bro...That Greenhouse Effects "No Brainer" was the best distortion I've heard and played....its lookn at me from my pedal board right now...

  • Like most dirt boxes with this many tonal variations, you can go from chocolate to chocolate-covered crap with a few turns of a knob but overall, this sounds like a fun one to have at the ready.

  • If I was 15 I'd love this thing!!! Buttons! Knobs! Lights! Whats there not to love...

    Thanks GMD!

  • Pretty sick. I don't usually expect much from modeling pedals, but this is top notch!

  • Quality! Loved it!

  • gearmandude is one of the kings of the internet age. I hope he is not a serial killer in his spare time.

  • @kanirip No, he doesn't have time for goin' around murdering people, he's way too busy working with Kyle Gass and stuff ;-)

  • @kanirip I hope he is. Just makes him cooler.

  • @peaceskypeace13 Would you prefer him to

    A) stomp people with the boots

    B) Strangle them with the white coily cable

    C) Scramble their brains with the power of the Dr.Z

    ?

  • @kanirip B to start. the rest of what he does to his victims is a secret.

  • damn . i dig it .

and pity dr Z for NOT HAVING ENOUGH SPACE for it . haha

  • All the bells and whistles and such a fancy looking box but they still didn't bother to actually emulate the tones properly!

That Marshall and Mesa emulations were pure crap.

  • hey germandude sorry but i have a stupid question is this pedal an analog pedal or digital pedal?..... love the pedal by the way....

  • @jcmartiz digital

  • GMD, So how do these compare with the real thing. Would be interested in hearing it against the real RAT. Thanks!

  • Yeah gearmanndude needs a differend mic ....

  • how much is this.

  • nope.

  • Although the demos are great...I am not diggin' this pedal.

  • well that was just...painful. Maybe sounds better IRL and 99.98% of GMD's vids are spot on, but this to me sounded extreamly fizzy and shril. This is one i will have to check out in a store before giving it a honest thumb up/down. But like it or not I always appritiate the demos by Gearmanndude.

  • @wwit63 have you stood beside something that was incredibly loud? if you have for a long time you might have had some hearing loss hence the shrill and fizzy sound you lose some of the more sensitive frequencies of your hearing.

  • el raton, lol

  • exellent tone

  • @zanozuke7 are you kidding? this sounds like a smokey amp.. haha

  • wholly mother this pedal costs 210$!!!!!

  • Impressed, even the Octave Fuzz sounds analog - doesn't have that 8-bit chirp you get with a lot of digital effects trying to emulate octave up tones.

  • Cool sounds, great variety, priced at 175 euros at Thomann. Great BANG for the buck !!
