  • Thx so much for this but after half an hour my tree house cought fire :(

  • Im having trouble building one of these on a server (I think because of lag). Whenever the piston pushes out the cobble and retracts the lava has time to flow down and take out the redstone torch. Do you know anyway to fix this or make another design?

  • @Tagger24 Confirmed, this no longer works on multi player and is not a lag issue.

  • but how does it work? that's what i want to know :D

  • @pwner278 when the cobble is generated the redstone torch gives power to it which powers the sticky piston. the SP pushes out and the repeater sends a signal through the block on the SP to the redstone on the other side powering the normal piston, pushing the cobble out of the way and removing the SP's power source so it retracts, removing the NP's power source so it retracts leaving space for the lava to flow and create another cobble. Thus the cycle restarts =)

  • one word comment

    awesome...

  • @dam4rusxp check my channel ive made a house fundation for it ;D with ur generator

  • you sir are a fucking genius

  • I may sound like a total idiot, but would it be a problem to make a video about the solution to the 13 block glitch? I tried it multiple times but it's just not working right :(. It would be great if you could do that!

  • @MistahOhEmGee check my channel i got solution just rebuild what ive done..

  • send Videorspons. Please accept it :D

  • you sir, are a fucking genius

  • Very very very nice sir, I thank you a ton

  • its a good design, except it jams when the cobble runs out of room, which is a problem when transporting it to a tnt crusher, however rigging it to a clock seems to produce about 2x as much as my current design with less space...

  • great smart piston usage :D

  • The cobblestone generator just jam after its block by harder block or produce long enough. I need to restart the lever in order to make it working again!! Which is quite troublesome

  • @monkey8113 Instead of just posting this you could've read the whole description of the video, then you would have seen a way to fix this issue. Anyway, this lever is there so you can shut it off when you don't need it.

  • @dam4rusxp Yah, i know it but u know.. I kinda lazy and hoping something like it keep producing until a harder block stop it and when i mine it, it will just keep producing. Know what i mean?

  • Thank you very much :D

  • It still work in 1.0 i just tried it! awesome.. but.. the speed is a bit too slow.

And i need to keep standing there to mine it instead of doing my building.

Is there any way to destroy it by itself?

  • @monkey8113 I don't think there is ever a way of breaking cobblestone by itself without using mods.

  • So tell me, whats the point of this fancy piston generator? Isn't it as fast as the normal way?

  • @TheThomasBNLR No, it's faster. It is the fastest possible way to generate a single row of cobblestone. Theoretically the generated cobblestone block is pushed in under one tick, what is impossible with redstone clocks.

  • @dam4rusxp with normal way i mean, 1 lava source 1 water source and just mining

  • nice i love it !

  • Whats that thing you put down right next to lever??

  • @MrXkiller853 A redstone repeater.

  • If it hit obsidian, wouldn't that destroy the cobblestone and make it so that you wouldn't have to break the blocks urself?

  • @Gryphon950 No, it would just stop the cobblestone flow.

  • Its possible, put a piston facing up where the red torch is, and for the timing part, put a redstone repeater pointing at where the cobble generates and on the opposite side the sticky piston that completes the circuit to the pusher piston. Or with a clock just power a whole line of pistons facing up and a cobble generator above it

  • can you make a pistone Generator where the cobble get up instead of going to the side??

  • 1.9.4 working fucking awesome

  • It crashes in 1.9.3 :(

  • @MrFortCraft Yeap. and crashes the game on 1.9 pre 3 as well

  • Just made this in 1.8.1 and it works like a charm- This is really awesome use of the redstone system and pistons. I was working with a clock based system, but in smp it's very unreliable. I really learned a whole new way of thinking by watching this, thanks a lot :) Big thumbs up :)

  • I tried making this on the 1.9 pre-release. it works, in a sense. after the second cobblestone was generated I got a saving chunks error and crashed. after restarting the stone i had generated turned invisible and the bottom piston wouldn't work. will probably be fixed before the full release

  • Does this still work in 1.8?????

  • @KaLaMaDaMa Of course. I'm on 1.8.1 and made a version of this encased in sandstone. By the way, kudos to dam4rusxp for making an awesome machine. I wish I had these redstone skillz.

  • @SeikenLegend thx. i thought i did not because i was doing it wrong, tried to do it from memory

  • @KaLaMaDaMa Yes it does i tried it it does work.

  • @KaLaMaDaMa duh

  • This is, by far, the best generater i have seen so far due to its simplicity and size. it is easy to build, and fast. thank you very much.

  • This generates about 2,460 cobblestone an hour.

I ran this for a minute 5 times and averaged at 41.6 cobblestone. 60 minutes in an hour. 41.6 * 60 = 2,496 +/- one block so from about 2,436 to about 2,556 cobblestone an hour. Just thought you might want to know

  • Where U Gan Douwnloud This map?

  • Its not working on multiplayer smp... any help please?

  • Its not working on smp... any help please?

  • if you drop it two blocks into the ground, you can put a trough of water underneath the line of cobblestone, so you don't have to go pick up all the cobblestone that was created.

  • awesome work

  • doesn't work in multiplayer....

  • Is it possible to make a vertical version of this so I can have it deep underground and have a cobblestone-station at ground level, 16 blocks up?

  • Thank you!

  • thanks a lot

  • this is exactly what I was looking for! now I just have to turn a switch and a bridge to my base is built in the blink of an eye

  • I thought this said "Cockless" at first.

  • nice idea

  • "Clockless" is misleading. The whole thing is a clock.

  • @divineagent Minor details

  • @divineagent Negative. It's not a clock. Clocks have even streams of electrical pulses, or in this case, redstone pulses. This isn't even by any means.

  • Cool, but the cobbelstone generator itself is a clock(that only gives a dozen ticks), so it's not entirely clockless.

  • Okay there is one Prob with that, until it reaches his end (Obsidian or the 13 Block Limit) it stops working so you have to destroy the first cobble or restart the thing on the Lever again. Do you know a solution for this?

  • @IHaTeD2 Updated video description.

  • @dam4rusxp thats what i used before (without the piston thing) but it can freeze when the chunk isnt loaded. =/

  • @IHaTeD2 Get a Pickaxe and use it

  • @MinecraftGuild Troll anyone else.

  • Cool, first revision allows you to encase the entire thing though and have a switch on the front, just looks more satisfying.

What are the tools you use to insta-place blocks and the such?

  • @rabbitez I use TooManyItems and Singleplayer Commands. You can get these mods from the minecraft forum. For insta-mining and such things just type "help" in Singleplayer Commands and you will find the needed commands.

  • Ahhh thats sweet, thanks. :)
