You listen to these songs, and you have to say that they show a magnificent musical talent. Jody Miller was always one of my favorite female singers, right up there along with Tammy Wynette and Connie Francis.
But sometimes, you listen to the words of the song and the story they tell, and you just get to wondering..... in this case, why didn't the guy take his gal to the party along with him???? Then she wouldn't be sitting at home waiting for him.
This is a great song! Thanks for putting this on. I love so much of the 70's country and it's great to be able to discover artists from that era that I haven't heard before.
