@mysmilewow, update video coming up very soon. I apologize deeply to all subscribers for this crazy delay, but a lot of life changes occured and posting videos just fell off th rador.
wow... i cannot explain how much i can relate to this vid...same hair type, natural and relaxed, seeing the new growth and the relaxed together. im transitioning right now and trying to keep my relaxed damaged ends. I loose the same amount as you (if not more) and it terrifies me, but im also terrified of having to do the BC...how have you been holding up? What products have you been using in the process? Im also trying to avoid heat at any cost too! Thanks for posting!
your hair is just like mine...my relaxed hair grow long then starts to break im going natural too. Im under hubbys profile now but ill soon post vis and pics
You can do it girl! Not to say that you won't have trials, but it's nothing like your UNREFINED natural beauty.
It's so many natural sistahs on youtube and if you can stay connected with them, you will see that although the transition will be a new challenge for you, it's so worth it.
I ran out of space to say Heyyyy Cancer!!!!!!!! lol. Just pray I can stay motivated to do it. At this point, its the shortest my hair has ever been and it wearing my down cause I'm use to long hair. But Health over length right?
I noticed that too, that we're both Cancers. Holla!!!... and yes health over length cuz if you have health the length will come. Just remember to incorporate these four letters in your daily hair care routine... HMCN (Hydrate, Moisturize, Condition, Nourish)... Be blessed, Shida
First let me congratulate you for doing your first hair vid. I'm so proud of you... lol. I can't wait to see your BC a few days after my birthday... June 30th baby! Just keep the heat out of your hair. You don't want to damage your natural new growth with heat before you even get started. Heat can permanently straighten/damage natural kinky curly hair so be careful. I did the braidout during my transition, for about a year before doing the BC.
Hi Shida. Thank you very much for the congrats. Staying heat free was a very challenging thing due to the fact that I loved wearing my hair straight and really don't know how to manage my natural hair, for I have never even seen it until now. Girl it's very tough, but I want healthy hair first. I think that the heat may have already given me a set back. But I am on the right track now I hope. I only blow my hair on cool air now cause I'm afraid of braiding it wet due to the shrinkage.
Where is the update video? I need to see

I'm going to BC on my birthday too! July 23 of 09. By that time it will have been a 3.5 month transition.
I just like the idea of having short hair at least once in my life. It grows back anyway.
