New camaros are garbage, i personally know 3 people who bought them...drove them for a few months and then took them to out local drag strip....I'm not lying when i say this...every single one them broke in the same day at the track. And the new GT's are already deep in the 9's, and if i'm not mistaken i'm pretty sure there are a few already in the 8's as well.

@maxredgizmo They were still makin the new 5.0 when i wrote this lol, as a ford lover and owner I know now finally ford has made a better performance car then Chevy, the stang has always been in the shadow of the vette an camaro the stang has just been underpowered the 2010 Camaro walked all over the 2010 stang in terms of numbers. The camaro was new, i do think the styling is great but thats my opinon, the 2011 stang is a whole new level, i guess ford got tired of being 2nd best

yeah no cobra other than 03-04 have a chance if they are stock o even a few boltons. o 03-04 cobra is faster than a stock SS but when i would show them the bottle they would respectfully decline. I did race a few cobras but usually my buddy with the GN would send them home crying before i got a chance to put them to shame.

A cobra with a simple pulley swap will leave a C5Z behind; *only on a straightaway* though. A simple turn and the Z will nail the snake.

I love my Z, i tried a cobra... good fun for straight runs, but it is portly. Good wt reduction and distribution, and proper tuning will make it a fun ride. But by that time you are spending way too much..

There's always someone faster - the Cobra is a lot of fun - and that's all that matters to me, who I can beat is just a bonus. Vette's are awesome cars as well, it's a sports car that does everything well. The Cobra is a muscle car, but it's also a very capable performance platform.
