  • its not that hard to do, you can do the same thing with a normal plastic pen. Just rub it on a cloth and hold it NEAR a thin stream of water

  • can you get a 4 feet 2 inch diameter ebonite rods? where can you get it?

  • flippin' awesome!

  • SA-WEET!

  • thats special

  • awesome.. just wish it were a bigger water stream

  • running an ordinary comb through your hair can do this too-try it!

  • Excellent! now i'm one step closer to master waterbending. So far i can bend fire (blowtouch and spiting flamable liquids) and air bending (high pressure air rockets) now water then earth!

  • can we really bend????

    i wanna learn it!!!

  • We can really bend, all of the things we see on tv will be under human control somepoint in the future... watch pangea day if you want to survive to that.

  • hilarious XD bumass

  • hilarious XD bumass

  • lame, for air bending u need a high pressure air cannon, earth u can use explosives and water just use water guns

  • cool

  • awesome, what other materials can I use to achieve that effect?

  • Just use a glass rod or even a plastic rod and rub it against silk, cloth or animal fur if you can find to generate electrostatic charges. The water stream needs to be uniform. If you use water right out of the faucet it probably wouldn't work as well, that it why I connected a rubber hose and a glass solution dropper as you see in the video to generate a thin and uniform water stream. BTW, this experiment like many other electrostatic experiments doesn't work too well in humid weather.

  • Ok, thanks for the explanation.
