Horses in a herd running together will be pinning their ears, but yet they are all running happily. Most horses at liberty will pin their ears when they are running with you. Anyone who has worked horses at liberty will know this. You cant stop it. To try and suppress this natural behavior is like trying to suppress an opinion of a person.
Except at the end, I haven't seen this horse's ears pinned at all. The were slightly back, but that's a sign the horse was attentive. The whole video, the horse is quite relaxed. And you're right, he's pretty cool :3

I love how the horse has it's ears pinned so often but it still clearly loves and respects him and listens to him. This guy is so cool!
