benicio does not really knows che he only publish nice pretty thinks, but not his real ideology for instance that fact that che does not belief in individualism he was gonna become another fidel castro and i rather have him dead. no man should control the masses if it is goind to be by his own ideology.
haha, sure Che would be glad to see him not giving a shit about the guy who (albeit unintentionally probably) turned Che into a commercial/consumerist symbol
what is the point in these questions...bullshit,, just trying hard to prove he doesnt know much about che..its a brilliant film and the actor was just too perfect.
¿Benicio… era cualquiera de su familia matada por Che? Conjeturo no. ¿Usted aprueba de gente desarmada de la matanza? ¡Su héroe y comida-boleto hicieron!
@mauricioalberti...no...Batista was a chingone sussio as well. But to glorify any murderer is to condone it. El secreto de vivir es amor, nunca morir.
I don't get how people can prove that "COMMUNISM" doesn't work by using HISTORICAL examples. Anyone who has even a vague understanding of Marxism knows that the USSR never made it out of the socialist transition stage, China isn't even worth mentioning, and North Korea is a pretender.
Che’s radicalism was spawned from living in Guatemala during the 1953 overthrow of Jacobo Arbenz by the CIA at the behest of the United Fruit Company (those lovely capitalists who liked to kill brown Central Americans so Americans could have cheap bananas).
Che saw the brutality of U$ Imperialism up close, and gave his life in Bolivia to defeat it. Che fought 3 U.S.-backed dictators during his life (Batista, Mobutu, Barrientos).
History may not ever see such a brave man again. VIVA CHE!!
One day before his death in Bolivia, Che Guevara for the first time in his life finally faced something properly describable as combat. So he ordered his guerrilla charges to give no quarter, to fight to the last breath and to the last bullet.
Then,
"Don't Shoot! I'm Che! I'm worth more to you alive than dead!"
@zepproxx My former history teacher taught me a very important lesson about history in general: the exact dates or years something happend doesnt matter at all, it is the order in which important events take place that matters. History can explain a lot about current issues or situations or provide us with possible scenarios on how these current issues or situations will evolve over time. Dates you can look up in history books, conclusions and understanding is what you should take from research.
Ow and why would you call Che a scumbag? I am opposed to the capital punishment he put in effect but then again he wasnt doing anything his enemies werent doing, so why not mention them and call them scumbags while you are at it? Allthough I do not approve of his methods, at least his goal was a noble one. Something that can not be said of his enemies who were all in it for gaining power, money or both. So you can only differentiate them on an ideological level.in which Che has moral high ground
@tweetdezweet Communism was his goal. Millions killed and his Cuban revolution was part of it. Not a noble cause. Ask my brother in law whos uncle was shot just for owning a farm an Che's orders. His father barely made it out of Cuba alive with his children. Ask the Cubans who would leave Cuba in a second if they thought they could make it on a raft. His noble goal imprisoned an entire island nation and condemed them to poverty and substandard living at best. Noble is NOT falling for communism.
@zepproxx You are right in saying that communism was his goal, but calling the dysfunctional state that followed his revolution is communism is again wrong. The thing with revolutions is that they tend to start off as noble endeavors and end in tragedy. This has to do with the blinding aspect of power that comes along with it. The idea of communism itself is noble, but there hasn't been any real communist state ever.Again I do not condone his methods, just in case you missed that.
@tweetdezweet The communist utopia will never exist because it denies the facts about human nature. Communism is not noble and its failure is well documented. Stop listening to your marxist professors and take a look around at what capitalism has brought to the world. Capitalism lifts the poor out of poverty not governments or failed nanny state beliefs.
@zepproxx rofl I dont have a marxist professor, I also never claimed that a communisme would work, all I said was that the ideology in itself is noble, plz dont put words in my mouth. But if you want to talk about ideology, fine by me. Your statement that capitalism lifts the poor out of poverty is just ridiculous, just take a hard look at the countries that have free-markets, the whole idea is that the market regulates itself but it doesnt because the wealthy have too much influence.
@tweetdezweet My examples are India, Colombia, China to name a few. All with an emerging middle class and a higher standard of living on the rise for all as a result. There will always be rich people as there are in commie countries. Diference is in commie countries standards of living are much lower for the masses. There will always be winners and losers. That's called life and reality. Economic freedom has always proven to foster success and growth for all.
You talk about the poverty in Cuba, well, if you are really honest about the reasons for the poverty in Cuba, you cannot deny the fact that there is an embargo which has a tremendous effect on how the country can function. Of course the embargo is not the only reason but still has a large effect. And the sad thing is that it only exists because the Cuban government calls itself communist. Meanwhile the US government has and continues to support dictators around the world for cheap oil...
@tweetdezweet Cuba trades with the rest of the world. The fact that Castro was screaming for Russia to nuke us may have something to do with that. Funny how capitalist countries are doing great and communist countries consistently do poorly. You can make excuses all day long it does not change the reality that free people are happier and more prosperous than those that are ruled by elitist central planners. Tell your marxist professor that freedom is always the way to go. Viva la capitalism!!!
@zepproxx I am guessing you live in the USA, I am by no means a supporter of any particular form of government but you claim the capitalist countries are thriving... yeah right, how much is the deficit in the US again? How many US banks and companies were allready sold either partially or completely to the Chinese? What is the percentage of homeless people in the USA again these days? How many people in the US still die because of diseases that can be cured? enjoy living in your own utopia m8 :)
@tweetdezweet The deficit in the USA is a result of socialist big government nanny state policies. Those policies are coming down after 2012 I can assure you. Greece, Spain or The UK come to mind? North Korea? The Chinese are flush with cash due to free market principals. All countries have homeless for a myriad of reasons. The resources are there for them to change their plight and none are starving due to homeless feeding and shelters. Death from disease? Like the UK rationing. Like Canada?
@tweetdezweet You simply do not have a strong enough case to debate me. The poor here in the USA have, microwaves, college tuition, cell phones, wii game consoles, air conditioning, food on the table, health care, cable tv, internet and home computers, and many other comforts. What is considered poor in the USA is upper middle class for the communist countries of the world. You can't win because facts and economic reality are on my side. Care to lose on any more points? Freedom is always best!!!
@tweetdezweet As far as diseases that can be cured. We still have the best medical care in the world. Many world leaders come here for treatment as do Canadians that don't want to wait 6 months for an MRI. Indigent are given life saving care here. In Canada as well as Britain many life saving procedures and treatments are not being given due to the bankrupt socialized medicine programs. Those deemed too old by government bureaucrats are denied treatment and left to suffer in pain. Not here.
@tweetdezweet Give up boy, Your leftie talking points can't win. Every single statement you make will be shot down with factual data and historic examples. Your embarrassing yourself.
@zepproxx I will indeed give up cause you are stating things that are far from the truth. Tbh I am starting to doubt you even live in the USA. Anyways I am neither left or right, I make up my own mind but simply because I point out to you that even capitalism has it's flaws you call me a leftie... Perhaps we can talk again if you can understand the difference between an ideology and the forms of government we have seen in the past that simply claimed that ideology. Big difference m8.
One final note, everyone who is up to date with the current economy and the location of wealth in the world will tell you exactly what I told you. My statements are not based on an ideology but by looking at facts presented by some of the world's finest institutions that actually care to examine and research global economics. But just keep on shouting leftie, a very mature way of debating. I shouldnt have forgotten that this is the internet. Enjoy your life :)
@lewars1912 A Righty is a man that takes care of himself and his a family. A lefty has his hand out for the nanny state to support him and his family. Which would be a boy? Big difference between a boy and a man.
@zepproxx Well there are a lot of "lefties" who've worked hard all their lives here in the UK, and some of them in dangerous jobs. I think you've been watching far too many John Wayne movies, lol.
@tweetdezweet Funny thing is that capitalist countries thrive without communist countries. Yet communist countries cannot prosper on their own. Now most communist countries are practicing limited forms of capitalism since the truth is hard to avoid forever. Stop defending a failed ideology and embrace success.
she's trying to make it look as though he doesn't know anything about Che, the inference being that if he doesn't know anything then that is the only reason he could portray him in a sympathetic way....hence he feels (and rightly so) cornered
Jesus Christ….Really? Why not ask Benecio about the energy he felt he was embodying when he was re-enacting Che…Did he feel connected to the role, or was it difficult for him?…I would ask him what it was about Che, that he connected with, in order to embody him so beautifully on a visceral level ….God! Our media, British, U.S.A., what the fuck ever (she had a British accent), they are ABSOLUTELY full of shit….They are just so ridiculously trivial…
the slut forgot to ask him what color was his briefs on the time of his death, and if he took a shit before his death, lol... get the fuck out of here, who cares, if he came back to life i dont think he would remember himself, because its completely absolute.
he mightve known Che was not fond of bathing ,he almost finished med school ,but not quite,.he had a marxist idea of helping the poor but that idea vanished as his love for revolution grew,he was ruthless in executing Cubans,.and vanity of reputation as a revolutionary ,as he failed miserably in revolution , he wasnt very good at any govt post he had,Fidel was his friend but wanted Che out of Cuba because revolution was all Che could think about , So Fidel let Che go to certain death
@GrooveDoctor77 How about you research Che before you judge him dumbshit. Although im guilty of it because before i thought he was a genocidal murderer, then i read about him and gained valuable insight on the man.
@GrooveDoctor77 wow that was subreal dude, did you came with those conclucions your self or did daddy help you?....jajaja you are a joke and your inteligence is a bad joke too.
@Nalhovito ...Benicio was discussing Che with a reporter(Anglo), what was he expecting? I guess Anglo reporter means stupid , so that most Anglos have no idea who Che was?or whites have no idea ,is that what youre saying?
LMAO!!!! Benicio was getting pissed. "All I can tell you is he got his medical degree and it was between 1952 and 1953." But what else was he expecting? He was discussing Che Guevara with a Starbucks Anglo.....................
Does it matter if it was vodka or whiskey or fitzpatrick or fitzsimmons or 1952 or 1953? No. What matters is his lifes mission was to aid the people of the world, on a micro and macro scale.
I thought actors were suppose to study their characters they will be portraying. Looks like he never did which explains why he played the part of this killer. If he actually knew the truth perhaps he would have never played the part.
What do any of you young impressionable young ones know about Che Guevara? Have you ever bothered to talk to any Cuban political prisoner? Have you ever spoken to the sons and daughters of those murdered by Guevara at La Cabana fort from "59-'61? Have you ever lived under communism? Do you think you would be able to blog freely if you lived in Cuba? Get your heads out of your ass and learn the truth! This man hated the U.S. and your way of life! Don't fall for this crap! Guevara was a murderer!
@ryanrful Guevara wasn't a murderer. He was a peace hero.If he hated America and it's way of life...then he was right...i too hate America and from today on i will try not to drink coca cola again or do anything americans do.If Che Guevara is a murderer...what does the Americans are...?
@kogiama To say that you hate America because you may not agree with its political process is absurd. Lots of Americans do not agree with decisions made by our government. The beauty of living here is that you can disagree with the government and voice your difference of opinion without persecution or execution. The same cannot be said for the government of Cuba. Cubans are great people, but for over 50 years they have been oppressed by a totalitarian regime. Peace brother.
@kogiama yeah sorry i was wrong saying i hate America
i just can't stand all the horible things they have done all over the world but what i despite more than anything else is what they have done in Nagasaki and in Hirosima...and all the japanese...1/3 of japanese were dead thanks to Americans...
and about Politics...if all the people or a very big number of people of the land you rule then you are fine if not...then try to find what's wrong...i'm not good with politics yet...i'm 15 :)
@kogiama Trust me friend, to this day most Americans regret the bombings of those two Japanese cities and the loss of both our and your soldiers and citizens. I think we have learned alot from those mistakes and today Japan and the U.S. are great friends. I can tell you that most Americans praise Japan for its great culture, its values and above all for its great people. i hope to visit there someday. Take good care.
@kogiama Apologies for the confusion. Trust me, we are also feeling the financial situation here. You will bounce back though, Greece is a tough and awesome country and western civilization owes much to your ancestors. As far as the film is concerned, it shows a favorable side of Guevara. Worth watching, but there are two sides to the story. Good luck buddy.
@kogiama hey they asked for it - do you even know what they did in China ? I know many Japanese & i have traveled the world for years & i can tell you most Japanese are deeply ashamed of what they & the Nazis tried to do to the world . Using Nukes was a bit extreme but you have to understand just how sick & tired of the war the allies were in 1945 - they just wanted it to end . Also it was a new technology which i believe won't be used again because of this .
@kogiama I'm glad you apologized for saying you hated Americans, but you should also know that if you are going to stop drinking Coca Cola you should stop using the internet/ Computer. In case you weren't aware El Che was against Capitalism.Nevertheless, you pose your last rhetorical statement while typing on either a PC(American Product),developed by IBM/Microsoft and now produced by thousands of companies,or a Mac(American Product) developed and produced by Apple. The irony escapes you, I’m sure.
@emichell100 i don't wanna keep on drinking coca cola cause i have seen a picture of americans soldiers with coca cola's at their hand and an AK at the other and at the wall there were heads of victims...
and it's incredible the fact that i said so many things and you stayed at the coca cola :P
@kogiama No the ignorance just stood out the most when you stated your anit Coca Cola comment, and I mentioned that I was glad you apologized for hating on Americans and I also mentioned something about Che, don't know if you missed that too. And while your protesting against these products you should also stop using the Internet, by that I mean YouTube because a few years ago Middle Eastern terrorists posted execution videos of American soldiers and journalists.Well,I guess this is goodbye, bye.
@kogiama Well, your anti-American comments were quite ignorant and were supported by uneducated evidence and assumptions. So I just wanted to shed some of my knowledge on you so you won't have to sound ignorant the next time you speak to someone. Think of it as an act of kindness.
@emichell100 look...i have not changed my mind....i just don't like americans and i believe exactly what i believed before...and my comments were not supported by uneducated evidence. What i said was righ and true.i could say that....i just faced America's "bad face"
but they are thesame for me :)
and Ernesto Guevara de la Serna is still the hero for me who was before
@kogiama That's interesting, earlier before you admitted to another person that you were wrong in hating Americans. And my evidence is right as well. You just seem like a typical anti-American who would find any reason to hate America. And as for Che,yeah,I'm surprised that you,who are"so against murderers"would actually support one.My family is Cuban, and my grandparents lived through the revolution.
@kogiama Che was a murderer who lined innocent people against a wall and killed them just because they disagreed with his beliefs. And please look this up before saying that he didn't when my family experienced this with their very own eyes.My great grandfather being a political prisoner himself.Aside from that there are documented facts proving that what I say is in fact true. Please reconsider what you say before you speak it because it may be very insulting to those who actually lived the truth
@emichell100 they are not making it up but look how many will tell you that sir Ernesto was a hero and how many will tell you that he did what you are saying he did???
How many people will tell you all these good, the heroic things he did?
He helped people with their jobs,he helped those who were injured
He brought the revolution's spirit at Cuba and etc
Then ask how many will agree that America has done more bad things than good...
@kogiama Che a hero?Well if your definition of a hero is a murderer then by all means he is the greatest hero of all,and the only people that say he is a hero are people who do not know the truth.Unlike you my family has experience and lived through the revolution you have only read about in you books or watched in movies. So please don't come to me with you ignorance. No one,by the way,has EVER told me that Che did heroic things.Lo que tu eres es un ignorante que no sabes nada de Fidel or CHe.
@kogiama So you would kill your own people just because they disagreed with your ideals? That says a lot about you. He didn't just hate america, he hated imperialism which defined many other countries beside America. And if you support his beliefs you would not believe in fashion, technology, etc. So you wouldn't be on youtube. Just saying.
Alright, for everyone on the belief that actors should be perfect.
I don't care if Toro knows nothing of Che, I also don't care if he is a man who gets off to rubberbands snapping on his dick, it is none of my business and it does not affect me.
It's not his job to be the person, or too write a book about him (John Lee Spent 10 years learning about him, even helped recover his body) it's his job to know enough to portray him.
To fake it. It's our job to research him, too learn.
Funny how people are critical of those who wear, or obtain anything that has Che on it. Yet they know little about the man himself, and just refer to him as "murderer", or "assassin". Do some real research, and quit listening to the bitter old, anti-communists, or those who hate Fidel.
I have studied Che extensively. I believe he was a good person with good intentions and his actions speak for themselves. He left a compfortable middle class existance to fight oppression on foreign shores. Could have remained in Cuba living the good life in a high position of power but chose to take action in Bolivia where he became emaciated and disease ridden but never chose to leave, fighting until the end.
How about you research Che before you judge him dumbshit. Although im guilty of it because before i thought he was a genocidal murderer, then i read about him and gained valuable insight on the man.
Whats the point in everyone having these pathetic arguments on youtube?! Everyone has their own opinion, some agree with Che and Socialism some dont, thats life so just get over it
@southwoodside coming from someone that tried to make cannabis and me being mexican a big deal? is your secret agenda to make me laugh? you sound stupid like this reporter trying to ask del toro about the artist that made the Che image famous after his death.
@MnC614 Really. I want a laugh. What do you, the so called anthropologist, know about the UK ? How many countries make up the UK ? Can u answer that ? I doubt it. Is it two, three, five ?
@southwoodside the study of humanity is a broad subject no? I know the basics of your history like the Anglo barbarians ( proud skilled warriors) that where in England before roman occupation and how you had a "pagan" form of religion. i don't say pagan as an insult because thats just the way western studies views it. I'm not force to study a certain part of the world , I prefer to stick with my own history because there's a lot unknown
more importantly after the revolution in french and the beheading of King Louis , look how strong of a power France became once Bonaparte took control, and it was only at the end of his downfall when France suffered, France was the baddest kid on the block and it took Prussia, Russia and Great Britain and others to stop them. when the population is motivated ( motivation comes in good and bad forms) amazing things can happen. Ex. Great wall of China, Siam Structures in Thailand, Pyramids, etc.
@southwoodside this stubborn ignorant behavior is why there's so much "circle talk" in the middle east between coalition and locals. instead of avoiding everything i say and comeback with a 1 liner , think but clearly social science majors don't need to think anymore right? Europeans are the biggest liars and hypocrites of history you brought your ways into the new world. and now you trying to analyze Che , we all know where that leads. this is what u learn in social science u fool
@southwoodside woah is that so computers and Ipods? you seriously mean Ipods?! clearly since you know about Ipods you know about the history of Latin America and Che's motivation , you know that's a given when dealing with Ipods right the whole revolution idea fits next to the lithium battery amirite?
@southwoodside derailing the conversation again are we , this tactics is getting old you know and its not fooling anyone , look how del toro is humiliating her and she laughs with it , that seem like you
@southwoodside I actually been to London , the jewel of Britain, but it felt to much like the States big city living, there's rich english and there's the rest of them that I related to , had my kebab went partying , it was fun , only thing i didn't experience was football game. most English face to face are nice just like the average american. besides the style , england is a lot like the US or vice versa
@southwoodside did i say that? no its like 4 or 5 and i said I only know like 2, wales and Scotland being 2 , and Im going to go on a limb and say Ireland, but im not going to look it up real quick just to prove I'm right, Iike i said I know basic stuff because besides going there for a week im don't plan on living there. too expensive
@southwoodside you're thinking doesn't even represent the common Englishman either , so if I don't answer " your" little quiz right it doesn't matter not that big of a deal, you expect someone in an other country to know all your countries deep dark secrets? that sounds dumb
@MnC614 Who said I was English. Living in the UK doesn't automatically make one English, or even British. But you nearly got it right - there are four but you didn't get Ireland quite right : England, Scotland, Wales and NORTHERN Ireland.
@southwoodside hmm? the Irish and Scots i respect because they don't mess around like the others , Irish and Mexicans have a lot in common in history, impoverished ( by 1st world standards) and in turmoil
reason why Europeans don't like che because Che was fighting to do away with all NON-indigenous colonies in Latin America ( Mexico,Cuba, and all the other puppet governments), Che was against capitalism and that's why Europeans and Americans hate Che. So is it a surprise Del Toro is getting so much flank from the media. that's what revolution- to change , notice how no one gives flank to the french for revolting against their Nobility? same shit different people
@southwoodside europeans cut up azectia like it was a side of beef, exploited and raped the people to make present day Latinos and constantly discriminate the natives in their own land and you expect revolutionist like Che not to hate you? that hate is what fuels revolution. I'm going to have to look dumb this time but you're a fucken idiot serious, if you're trolling than you're just pathetic . Mr sheep what more do i have to say to you? you're stuck in your ways and im not trying to change u
@MnC614 umm not exactly, even latinos especially cubans hated che's guts because 1. he took the economy of cuba down to the shitter 2. he was a constant ass kisser of fidel and 3. he was murdering people without trial or defense. He was a racist against indigenous people i.e. Guatemala and a megalomaniac.
@mana2432 am I supporting Che or his Ideals? these are two separate subject because Che didn't make up his own philosophy on Socialism it was Karl Marx, what I'm saying is his interpretation of the philosophy can be applied and therefore I do support his ideals not him as a person. this is the difference between a foot soldier and a general, there is more knowledge in what i wrote then it seems , thank you for your time
@mana2432 see, I value your Point of view of Che because now I have a better understanding of Che as a Person but my opinion on his ideals hasn't faltered. this is why i said we must learn from the mistakes of the past revolutionaries to better our decisions as people in the future ( yes i said it back when the Black Panthers supporter and the Pro-Fidel supporter were arguing), seriously now i know what someone from central America knows Che personally, thank you
@mana2432 even tho people may say our way is the wrong way , look at the state of the affairs of the world using the current system? we need to change because this system isn't working, did you hear about those congressmen/bush aides that were " whacked" , the radicals are getting rid of all the people on the fences in the US and I fear for the worst, Canadian wilderness here I come = D
@MnC614 look I used to wear Che shirts I used to idolize the dude. It took a professor from Cuba, a Pastor from Cuba, and even my brother to show me how twisted that guy was and his method. My problem with marxist, communists, whatever the fuck they want to call theirselves today is not only their system, is mainly that they cannot fathom that others do not support their ideology and then want to force it on them through gaining power from the gov. or by coercion.
@mana2432 wait a minute, who said I wore Che Shirt? now you're overgeneralizing everyone with Marxist ideals to be some punk kid with a Che Shirt? If you really think I'm that shallow and uninformed that I don't see whats happening outside the mainstream media, then I don't know what to tell you. and you're still missing the point. I support his ideals and they relate to mine but key word is relate their not the same, corruption happens in government regardless what system it is, come on now
@mana2432 well I'm just letting you know i don't relate to you and you are exploding on me with no control, you think I'm trying to argue with you but I'm not , you have an elitist attitude whatever way you try to word it, you take my opinion as an insult to your beliefs because that's what they are your beliefs and by trying to force upon your opinion without stopping and actually reading what i'm saying, you just want to argue and I would rather have a discussion nothing more.
@MnC614 I don't mind you guys having your workers cooperatives, since they are able to exist in a free market (we barely have a fm), as long as you don't forcefully take it from an entrepreneur. How about the workers starting their business from scratch? how many of them are willing to take the risks that ent. are wiling to take i.e. losses?
@mana2432 can you see how an elitist mindset can blind what I'm really trying to say. the world is better than one person, who are you to say your way is right and someone else is wrong? that's elitism sir and that's the problem with the world, racism is the idiotic form of elitism, people think their better than others so there's no respect and when you don't respect someone its easier to mislead and exploit them.
@MnC614 an elitist mindset?? elitists cannot accept that people think different than them so they want to force their ideology on the masses. This is typical of neo cons and statists.
>who are you to say your way is right and someone else is wrong?
This isn't religion, this is economics. Clearly statists want the state to intervene in people's lives, and syndicalists want to replace the state with a collective. The irony is that this is the cause of elitism, people that want central planning.
@mana2432 I was really hoping to have a meaningful conversation with you but, its clear which perspective you see it from and how you refuse to see anything from a different point of view, I'm not saying you're wrong , I'm saying there's no compromising with you and this is the situation in most of the world where conflicts are rampant, the West refuses to compromise or see anything besides their way. In business that's bad business, am i right?
@MnC614 Are you fucking kidding me? no compromising with me? dude I just told you I have no problems with worker coops O_O and I am not compromising?? look you want your little socialist paradise you can have it as long as it is VOLUNTARY.
@mana2432 shall we start again on even ground? because you just seem like you are in defensive mode, really what are u so scared about that you get so defensive over a discussion?
@MnC614 defensive mode no... you started going off on me as if I said that you were some punk kid with a Che shirt and thats what pissed me off. But if you want to have a discussion pm me.
@mana2432 so because i say i I'm not you , you have the right to talk bad of my ideals? that's elitist and im not going to argue the definition because I know it, and after you lost control and the point of a logical conversation here we are, like i said before im not saying you are wrong im saying my ideals aren't like yours and instead of say" NO ,YOUR WRONG" , look at where i'm coming from like i already did to you, that's why we don't agree but doesn't mean we can't compromise
@mana2432 so you saw one wrong and you let that one phrase derail your whole train of thought? is that what education is for, you are trying to prove you're better than me and now its turning into eye for an eye mentality. are you not seeing this conversation unfolding?
@mana2432 actually I'll take up your offer, i don't know anymore than you, I just have a different mindset/point of view than you that's the only difference, that's why I never called you as a person stupid or uninformed. I try my best to choose my word wisely because it all goes back to accountability and honor ( the will to do the right thing) you may see in this very subject I learned a lot from everyone just by listening. shall we?
I'm a realist , I don't believe in fairy tales that have no concrete evidence of ever happening, notice how there is so much controversy with Christianity then Islam ? you know why ? because every couple of years Christianity changes , the Christianity you believe is a distorted version of what the real Christians believe, and yes there is such thing as real Christians , but this where being an anthropologist major comes into play because this is what we study as a major, Mr sheep what else ?
because if jesus was a white guy born in the middle east at the beginning of human civilization , that basically goes against natural selection and the fact humans adapt certain traits to better suit their environment , white people are white because you are from a cool region where you don't need extra melanin in your skin to protect you from UV rays, are you slow>?
@MnC614 Hilarious. There are no pale skins in the middle east yet you get white Pakistanis. Keep em coming. Your jokes are getting better all the time.
@southwoodside just to let you know since im sure you don't , Britain was the the strongest world power that took interest in the middle east at the time ,Pakistan,India, Hong Kong can tell the same story
Chief executioner for the Castro regime, responsible for the murder of thousands
Was appointed Cuba’s Minister of Economics in 1960; within months the Cuban peso was practically worthless.
Was appointed Cuba’s Minister of Industries in 1961; within a year a previously prosperous nation was rationing food, closing factories, and losing hundreds of thousands of its most productive citizens, who were happy to flee with only the clothes on their backs.
@southwoodside there is no such thing as " I was just taking orders" , COs in the military tell you not to worry about the political side of war because you get paid to act not to think. so they willfully choose to avoid the truth of the situation so they deserve to die just like the government they chose to protect , that's what being a soldier is and why so many are become mercenaries so they aren't bond by the same morals as the hypocrites that conduct war for " peace"
it was Alberto Korda who toke the picture

VIVA CHE!!
4Barbudos 5 months ago
One day before his death in Bolivia, Che Guevara for the first time in his life finally faced something properly describable as combat. So he ordered his guerrilla charges to give no quarter, to fight to the last breath and to the last bullet.
Then,
"Don't Shoot! I'm Che! I'm worth more to you alive than dead!"

zepproxx 6 months ago
@zepproxx My former history teacher taught me a very important lesson about history in general: the exact dates or years something happend doesnt matter at all, it is the order in which important events take place that matters. History can explain a lot about current issues or situations or provide us with possible scenarios on how these current issues or situations will evolve over time. Dates you can look up in history books, conclusions and understanding is what you should take from research.
tweetdezweet 5 months ago
Ow and why would you call Che a scumbag? I am opposed to the capital punishment he put in effect but then again he wasnt doing anything his enemies werent doing, so why not mention them and call them scumbags while you are at it? Allthough I do not approve of his methods, at least his goal was a noble one. Something that can not be said of his enemies who were all in it for gaining power, money or both. So you can only differentiate them on an ideological level.in which Che has moral high ground
tweetdezweet 5 months ago
@tweetdezweet Communism was his goal. Millions killed and his Cuban revolution was part of it. Not a noble cause. Ask my brother in law whos uncle was shot just for owning a farm an Che's orders. His father barely made it out of Cuba alive with his children. Ask the Cubans who would leave Cuba in a second if they thought they could make it on a raft. His noble goal imprisoned an entire island nation and condemed them to poverty and substandard living at best. Noble is NOT falling for communism.
zepproxx 5 months ago
@zepproxx You are right in saying that communism was his goal, but calling the dysfunctional state that followed his revolution is communism is again wrong. The thing with revolutions is that they tend to start off as noble endeavors and end in tragedy. This has to do with the blinding aspect of power that comes along with it. The idea of communism itself is noble, but there hasn't been any real communist state ever.Again I do not condone his methods, just in case you missed that.
tweetdezweet 5 months ago
@tweetdezweet The communist utopia will never exist because it denies the facts about human nature. Communism is not noble and its failure is well documented. Stop listening to your marxist professors and take a look around at what capitalism has brought to the world. Capitalism lifts the poor out of poverty not governments or failed nanny state beliefs.
zepproxx 5 months ago
@zepproxx rofl I dont have a marxist professor, I also never claimed that a communisme would work, all I said was that the ideology in itself is noble, plz dont put words in my mouth. But if you want to talk about ideology, fine by me. Your statement that capitalism lifts the poor out of poverty is just ridiculous, just take a hard look at the countries that have free-markets, the whole idea is that the market regulates itself but it doesnt because the wealthy have too much influence.
tweetdezweet 5 months ago
@tweetdezweet My examples are India, Colombia, China to name a few. All with an emerging middle class and a higher standard of living on the rise for all as a result. There will always be rich people as there are in commie countries. Diference is in commie countries standards of living are much lower for the masses. There will always be winners and losers. That's called life and reality. Economic freedom has always proven to foster success and growth for all.
zepproxx 5 months ago
You talk about the poverty in Cuba, well, if you are really honest about the reasons for the poverty in Cuba, you cannot deny the fact that there is an embargo which has a tremendous effect on how the country can function. Of course the embargo is not the only reason but still has a large effect. And the sad thing is that it only exists because the Cuban government calls itself communist. Meanwhile the US government has and continues to support dictators around the world for cheap oil...
tweetdezweet 5 months ago
@tweetdezweet Cuba trades with the rest of the world. The fact that Castro was screaming for Russia to nuke us may have something to do with that. Funny how capitalist countries are doing great and communist countries consistently do poorly. You can make excuses all day long it does not change the reality that free people are happier and more prosperous than those that are ruled by elitist central planners. Tell your marxist professor that freedom is always the way to go. Viva la capitalism!!!
zepproxx 5 months ago
@zepproxx I am guessing you live in the USA, I am by no means a supporter of any particular form of government but you claim the capitalist countries are thriving... yeah right, how much is the deficit in the US again? How many US banks and companies were allready sold either partially or completely to the Chinese? What is the percentage of homeless people in the USA again these days? How many people in the US still die because of diseases that can be cured? enjoy living in your own utopia m8 :)
tweetdezweet 5 months ago
@tweetdezweet The deficit in the USA is a result of socialist big government nanny state policies. Those policies are coming down after 2012 I can assure you. Greece, Spain or The UK come to mind? North Korea? The Chinese are flush with cash due to free market principals. All countries have homeless for a myriad of reasons. The resources are there for them to change their plight and none are starving due to homeless feeding and shelters. Death from disease? Like the UK rationing. Like Canada?
zepproxx 5 months ago
@tweetdezweet You simply do not have a strong enough case to debate me. The poor here in the USA have, microwaves, college tuition, cell phones, wii game consoles, air conditioning, food on the table, health care, cable tv, internet and home computers, and many other comforts. What is considered poor in the USA is upper middle class for the communist countries of the world. You can't win because facts and economic reality are on my side. Care to lose on any more points? Freedom is always best!!!
zepproxx 5 months ago
@tweetdezweet As far as diseases that can be cured. We still have the best medical care in the world. Many world leaders come here for treatment as do Canadians that don't want to wait 6 months for an MRI. Indigent are given life saving care here. In Canada as well as Britain many life saving procedures and treatments are not being given due to the bankrupt socialized medicine programs. Those deemed too old by government bureaucrats are denied treatment and left to suffer in pain. Not here.
zepproxx 5 months ago
@tweetdezweet Give up boy, Your leftie talking points can't win. Every single statement you make will be shot down with factual data and historic examples. Your embarrassing yourself.
zepproxx 5 months ago
@zepproxx I will indeed give up cause you are stating things that are far from the truth. Tbh I am starting to doubt you even live in the USA. Anyways I am neither left or right, I make up my own mind but simply because I point out to you that even capitalism has it's flaws you call me a leftie... Perhaps we can talk again if you can understand the difference between an ideology and the forms of government we have seen in the past that simply claimed that ideology. Big difference m8.
tweetdezweet 5 months ago
One final note, everyone who is up to date with the current economy and the location of wealth in the world will tell you exactly what I told you. My statements are not based on an ideology but by looking at facts presented by some of the world's finest institutions that actually care to examine and research global economics. But just keep on shouting leftie, a very mature way of debating. I shouldnt have forgotten that this is the internet. Enjoy your life :)

@zepproxx Well there are a lot of "lefties" who've worked hard all their lives here in the UK, and some of them in dangerous jobs. I think you've been watching far too many John Wayne movies, lol.
lewars1912 3 months ago
@tweetdezweet Funny thing is that capitalist countries thrive without communist countries. Yet communist countries cannot prosper on their own. Now most communist countries are practicing limited forms of capitalism since the truth is hard to avoid forever. Stop defending a failed ideology and embrace success.

kogiama 11 months ago
@kogiama To say that you hate America because you may not agree with its political process is absurd. Lots of Americans do not agree with decisions made by our government. The beauty of living here is that you can disagree with the government and voice your difference of opinion without persecution or execution. The same cannot be said for the government of Cuba. Cubans are great people, but for over 50 years they have been oppressed by a totalitarian regime. Peace brother.

@kogiama Apologies for the confusion. Trust me, we are also feeling the financial situation here.

The irony escapes you, I’m sure.

emichell100 11 months ago
@emichell100 look...i have not changed my mind....i just don't like americans and i believe exactly what i believed before...and my comments were not supported by uneducated evidence. What i said was righ and true.i could say that....i just faced America's "bad face"
but they are thesame for me :)
and Ernesto Guevara de la Serna is still the hero for me who was before
kogiama 11 months ago
@kogiama That's interesting, earlier before you admitted to another person that you were wrong in hating Americans. And my evidence is right as well. You just seem like a typical anti-American who would find any reason to hate America. And as for Che,yeah,I'm surprised that you,who are"so against murderers"would actually support one.My family is Cuban, and my grandparents lived through the revolution.
emichell100 11 months ago
@kogiama Che was a murderer who lined innocent people against a wall and killed them just because they disagreed with his beliefs. And please look this up before saying that he didn't when my family experienced this with their very own eyes.My great grandfather being a political prisoner himself.Aside from that there are documented facts proving that what I say is in fact true. Please reconsider what you say before you speak it because it may be very insulting to those who actually lived the truth
emichell100 11 months ago

He helped people with their jobs,he helped those who were injured
He brought the revolution's spirit at Cuba and etc
Then ask how many will agree that America has done more bad things than good...
it's the same again
no matter what you say mate...CHE IS A HERO
kogiama 11 months ago
@kogiama Che a hero?Well if your definition of a hero is a murderer then by all means he is the greatest hero of all,and the only people that say he is a hero are people who do not know the truth.Unlike you my family has experience and lived through the revolution you have only read about in you books or watched in movies. So please don't come to me with you ignorance. No one,by the way,has EVER told me that Che did heroic things.Lo que tu eres es un ignorante que no sabes nada de Fidel or CHe.

tell me who is your hero :)
kogiama 11 months ago
@kogiama So you would kill your own people just because they disagreed with your ideals? That says a lot about you. And if you support his beliefs you would not believe in fashion, technology, etc. So you wouldn't be on youtube. Just saying.
emichell100 11 months ago
@emichell100 stop making things better than they are he killed people who had diferent opinion with his own...stop making him look like a beast.

MnC614 1 year ago
more importantly after the revolution in french and the beheading of King Louis , look how strong of a power France became once Bonaparte took control, and it was only at the end of his downfall when France suffered, France was the baddest kid on the block and it took Prussia, Russia and Great Britain and others to stop them. when the population is motivated ( motivation comes in good and bad forms) amazing things can happen. Ex. Great wall of China, Siam Structures in Thailand, Pyramids, etc.

@southwoodside there's alittle british sarcasm for you right there just so you feel at home. lol
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 What do you know about Britain ? Tell me. Seriously.

@southwoodside derailing the conversation again are we , this tactics is getting old you know and its not fooling anyone , look how del toro is humiliating her and she laughs with it , that seem like you

@MnC614 del toro, another joker. Serious people wouldn't bother with him. LOL.

MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 So are you saying the UK is just England ? One country ?
southwoodside 1 year ago
@southwoodside did i say that? no its like 4 or 5 and i said I only know like 2, wales and Scotland being 2 , and Im going to go on a limb and say Ireland, but im not going to look it up real quick just to prove I'm right, Iike i said I know basic stuff because besides going there for a week im don't plan on living there. too expensive
MnC614 1 year ago
@southwoodside you're thinking doesn't even represent the common Englishman either , so if I don't answer " your" little quiz right it doesn't matter not that big of a deal, you expect someone in an other country to know all your countries deep dark secrets? that sounds dumb
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 Who said I was English. Living in the UK doesn't automatically make one English, or even British. But you nearly got it right - there are four but you didn't get Ireland quite right : England, Scotland, Wales and NORTHERN Ireland.
southwoodside 1 year ago
@southwoodside hmm? the Irish and Scots i respect because they don't mess around like the others , Irish and Mexicans have a lot in common in history, impoverished ( by 1st world standards) and in turmoil
MnC614 1 year ago
@southwoodside sorry mr sheep , you're not going to be able to laugh at me = D
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 I already have, joker.

reason why Europeans don't like che because Che was fighting to do away with all NON-indigenous colonies in Latin America ( Mexico,Cuba, and all the other puppet governments), Che was against capitalism and that's why Europeans and Americans hate Che. So is it a surprise Del Toro is getting so much flank from the media. that's what revolution- to change , notice how no one gives flank to the french for revolting against their Nobility? same shit different people
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 Oh really ? And Che was a racist himself too.
southwoodside 1 year ago
@southwoodside europeans cut up azectia like it was a side of beef, exploited and raped the people to make present day Latinos and constantly discriminate the natives in their own land and you expect revolutionist like Che not to hate you? that hate is what fuels revolution. I'm going to have to look dumb this time but you're a fucken idiot serious, if you're trolling than you're just pathetic . Mr sheep what more do i have to say to you? you're stuck in your ways and im not trying to change u
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 umm not exactly, even latinos especially cubans hated che's guts because 1. he took the economy of cuba down to the shitter 2. he was a constant ass kisser of fidel and 3. he was murdering people without trial or defense. He was a racist against indigenous people i.e. Guatemala and a megalomaniac.
mana2432 1 year ago
@mana2432 am I supporting Che or his Ideals? these are two separate subject because Che didn't make up his own philosophy on Socialism it was Karl Marx, what I'm saying is his interpretation of the philosophy can be applied and therefore I do support his ideals not him as a person. this is the difference between a foot soldier and a general, there is more knowledge in what i wrote then it seems , thank you for your time
MnC614 1 year ago
@mana2432 see, I value your Point of view of Che because now I have a better understanding of Che as a Person but my opinion on his ideals hasn't faltered. this is why i said we must learn from the mistakes of the past revolutionaries to better our decisions as people in the future ( yes i said it back when the Black Panthers supporter and the Pro-Fidel supporter were arguing), seriously now i know what someone from central America knows Che personally, thank you
MnC614 1 year ago
@mana2432 even tho people may say our way is the wrong way , look at the state of the affairs of the world using the current system? we need to change because this system isn't working, did you hear about those congressmen/bush aides that were " whacked" , the radicals are getting rid of all the people on the fences in the US and I fear for the worst, Canadian wilderness here I come = D
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 look I used to wear Che shirts I used to idolize the dude. It took a professor from Cuba, a Pastor from Cuba, and even my brother to show me how twisted that guy was and his method. My problem with marxist, communists, whatever the fuck they want to call theirselves today is not only their system, is mainly that they cannot fathom that others do not support their ideology and then want to force it on them through gaining power from the gov. or by coercion.
mana2432 1 year ago
@mana2432 wait a minute, who said I wore Che Shirt? now you're overgeneralizing everyone with Marxist ideals to be some punk kid with a Che Shirt? If you really think I'm that shallow and uninformed that I don't see whats happening outside the mainstream media, then I don't know what to tell you. and you're still missing the point. I support his ideals and they relate to mine but key word is relate their not the same, corruption happens in government regardless what system it is, come on now
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 Where did I say that you wore a Che shirt?? I'm talking about me!! holy shet!!
mana2432 1 year ago
@mana2432 well I'm just letting you know i don't relate to you and you are exploding on me with no control, you think I'm trying to argue with you but I'm not , you have an elitist attitude whatever way you try to word it, you take my opinion as an insult to your beliefs because that's what they are your beliefs and by trying to force upon your opinion without stopping and actually reading what i'm saying, you just want to argue and I would rather have a discussion nothing more.
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 I don't mind you guys having your workers cooperatives, since they are able to exist in a free market (we barely have a fm), as long as you don't forcefully take it from an entrepreneur. How about the workers starting their business from scratch? how many of them are willing to take the risks that ent. are wiling to take i.e. losses?
mana2432 1 year ago
@mana2432 can you see how an elitist mindset can blind what I'm really trying to say. the world is better than one person, who are you to say your way is right and someone else is wrong? that's elitism sir and that's the problem with the world, racism is the idiotic form of elitism, people think their better than others so there's no respect and when you don't respect someone its easier to mislead and exploit them.
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 an elitist mindset?? elitists cannot accept that people think different than them so they want to force their ideology on the masses. This is typical of neo cons and statists.
>who are you to say your way is right and someone else is wrong?
This isn't religion, this is economics. Clearly statists want the state to intervene in people's lives, and syndicalists want to replace the state with a collective. The irony is that this is the cause of elitism, people that want central planning.
mana2432 1 year ago
@mana2432 I was really hoping to have a meaningful conversation with you but, its clear which perspective you see it from and how you refuse to see anything from a different point of view, I'm not saying you're wrong , I'm saying there's no compromising with you and this is the situation in most of the world where conflicts are rampant, the West refuses to compromise or see anything besides their way. In business that's bad business, am i right?
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 Are you fucking kidding me? no compromising with me? dude I just told you I have no problems with worker coops O_O and I am not compromising?? look you want your little socialist paradise you can have it as long as it is VOLUNTARY.
mana2432 1 year ago
@mana2432 shall we start again on even ground? because you just seem like you are in defensive mode, really what are u so scared about that you get so defensive over a discussion?
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 defensive mode no... you started going off on me as if I said that you were some punk kid with a Che shirt and thats what pissed me off. But if you want to have a discussion pm me.
mana2432 1 year ago
@mana2432 so because i say i I'm not you , you have the right to talk bad of my ideals? that's elitist and im not going to argue the definition because I know it, and after you lost control and the point of a logical conversation here we are, like i said before im not saying you are wrong im saying my ideals aren't like yours and instead of say" NO ,YOUR WRONG" , look at where i'm coming from like i already did to you, that's why we don't agree but doesn't mean we can't compromise
MnC614 1 year ago
@mana2432 so you saw one wrong and you let that one phrase derail your whole train of thought? is that what education is for, you are trying to prove you're better than me and now its turning into eye for an eye mentality. are you not seeing this conversation unfolding?
MnC614 1 year ago
@mana2432 actually I'll take up your offer, i don't know anymore than you, I just have a different mindset/point of view than you that's the only difference, that's why I never called you as a person stupid or uninformed. I try my best to choose my word wisely because it all goes back to accountability and honor ( the will to do the right thing) you may see in this very subject I learned a lot from everyone just by listening. shall we?
MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 ok cool

MnC614 1 year ago
@MnC614 Hilarious. There are no pale skins in the middle east yet you get white Pakistanis. Keep em coming. Your jokes are getting better all the time.

@southwoodside before or after Britain colonized it? damn you really are that thick

@southwoodside just to let you know since im sure you don't , Britain was the the strongest world power that took interest in the middle east at the time ,Pakistan,India, Hong Kong can tell the same story
