  • 5 guys and a 12 pack? major lightweights or what?

  • how high? please be specific

  • what did u touch it with?

  • with high voltage

  • Nice, that's pretty cool. How many amps were you drawing/pushing through the pencil.

  • You guys are pretty hardcore, I mean, I only just did it today in Year 8 Electronics...

    :/

  • if i had to guess, they were soldering the pencil lead lmao

  • nope hook up two wires to battery and the graphite works as a resistor and smokes up and glows

  • ow ok :)

  • masif dangerous! youre batery can exploud

  • We weren't using a battery, but a high power power supply

  • well if 5 amps hit ur heart u r dead man.

  • ur stupid with ur 5 amps comment

  • HAHAHAHAHAH are you stupid 5 amps wouldnt even turn on a coffee maker

  • I know i thought 50 amps

  • correction 50*

  • the first god dam light saber holy shit

  • i would call that pencil lead cracking

  • reminds me of Star Wars lol its like a lightsaber lol

  • Aw its like a mini baby lightsaber!

  • Its not lead its grafite carbon, allmost the same thing used in old lightbulbs

  • wow, was that just your average piece of pencil led and how many volts did you pump into that sucker?

  • 12V I think, and yes its an ordinary pencil lead, yes we intended to put too much power into it to watch it go incandescent, the exploding part was due to there being some moisture inside the graphite that got turned to steam.

  • oh, cool yeah, i get my power from this old computer power supply, you can chec out my video on neon light being powered by it if you want, anyway the power supply has 12v coming out of it so i can do it when ever i want, i might use the 5 volts though just to be safe, you think 5 volts will work?

  • That was the general idea.

  • Cool, what kinda voltage/current is being fed?

  • I used to do that in school all the time.
