the difference is that we dont target their children. we target hamas' terrorists who hide among civilians to cause pictures of huumanitarian disaster and make international pressure on israel to stop fighting agaisnt them. they DO target civilians and children when they fire those rockets. u think israel is not allowed to respond even if it's attacked only because the terrorists use civilians as human shields?

for some weird reason the media makes it look like Israel is the bad guys for the recent attacks on Gaza and really they were stopping attacks that were against Israel

Because Hamas likes to take the victim persona to make the media go to their side. It's like a shrimpy little bully who uses his appearance as a weak kid to get his way while still picking on the kid defending himself in the playground.

I don't get it either. Some people actually believe it too. Hamas does not want peace at all with Israel. They don't keep that fact a secret either.
