I think you missed the point of the show completely. The reason robin and barney worked so well is because they were a product of ted. Ted after awhile with all his love talk during his relationships with stella, victoria, robin etc started to make barney jealous .A girl who banged 200+ girls never had the one thing he always wanted his parents to...A relationship
Barney knew that sooner or later robin and ted would find a ;partner and he would be the one left out.

Is it possible that "future Ted" is talking to someone elses (maybe a friend they meet in the future) kids and their mother is not his wife. Maybe he is their uncle or something. Because I don't think the kids have ever called him "dad" and he only refers to them as "kids". I still have faith in Ted and Robin getting married..!

No matter how much I like How I met your mother, I think they've made a mistake with introducing the Mother. From the very beginning they spent 2 seasons with Ted/Robin, first building them up with and then showing the happy times they had together. A lot of people (myself included, though I also like B/R) fell in love with the couple. Now they have to make the Mother almost supernaturally awesome and great to get the audience to like her/Ted together as much (and more) as they liked T/R.

Barney is awesome because he's single, sleeps with lots of women, wears suits and has money. and this hasn't changed since the first episode. robin's character, however, has changed in the last season. in s1+2 she was the amazing girl who's ment to end up with Ted. and in season 5+6 she's just a person who's disappointed with her job and her love life. and she turned into a annoying female version of barney. i liked her much more in s1+2 (as Ted's dreamgirl)

I think you missed the point of the show completely. The reason robin and barney worked so well is because they were a product of ted. Ted after awhile with all his love talk during his relationships with stella, victoria, robin etc started to make barney jealous .A girl who banged 200+ girls never had the one thing he always wanted his parents to...A relationship
Barney knew that sooner or later robin and ted would find a ;partner and he would be the one left out.

I like robin better now because she's more comfortable in her own skin around the group. Robin was embarrassed by robin sparkles, but now she's learned to embracing moments in her life. Barney hated talking about family issue, but now has embraced and wants to find his real father.

@sleepy91 iF YOU WANT TO LOOK AT HOW A COUPLE LIKE robin and ted can ruin a show chemistry, watch the office after season 4.....Jim and pam characters are not as fun from what they were in the first 4 seasons and the relationship they are has caged them in. Ted and robin are better as friends and their situation may be the same as 500 days of summer..Summer/robin eyes were to love by tom/ted, but are not heir soul mates.
Don't be surprised if robin is the one getting married this season

Is it possible that "future Ted" is talking to someone elses (maybe a friend they meet in the future) kids and their mother is not his wife. Maybe he is their uncle or something. Because I don't think the kids have ever called him "dad" and he only refers to them as "kids". I still have faith in Ted and Robin getting married..!

even though i hate it, i think B/R will end up together.
unfortunately, there's a lot of evidence for that:
1. At the wedding in the beginning of S6 everyody is shown except for B/R. Ted agreed to be R best man, a hint?
2. During S6 R turns kinda into a female version of B to make them a better couple
3.there are more romantic moments between B/R than between T/R in S6
4. B/R have a huge fanbase, so the writers will do what most fans like -.-
S1+2 were the best, the end of S6 will probably suck

It also seems like Robin is turining into more of a romantic because she chose love over her career in season 5. That makes Robin and Ted more similar..

Just please remember that Robin can still be the wife and not the mother. I know its corny, and a longshot, and probably not going to happen, but I'm holding onto hope that this is the case.
Honestly, opposites do attract and the fact that he's a romantic and she's a realist do not mean they can't wind up together. Haven't you ever encountered the old couple where the husband is all romantic and the wife is just like "whatever".

No matter how much I like How I met your mother, I think they've made a mistake with introducing the Mother. From the very beginning they spent 2 seasons with Ted/Robin, first building them up with and then showing the happy times they had together. A lot of people (myself included, though I also like B/R) fell in love with the couple. Now they have to make the Mother almost supernaturally awesome and great to get the audience to like her/Ted together as much (and more) as they liked T/R.
