A bit ago, I wanted me friends to see the brilliance that is bright eyes so I made em listen to this song. They actually laughed and said Bright Eyes suck. I was absolutley appalled and said, "Just bcuz he's not that mainstream Bieber punk that u like and his songs r to powerful 4 u 2 understand doesn't mean he sucks." Haha they shut up really fast. A good voice doesn't mean good music.

the song is actually about attempting again and again to obtain a thing that you know you cant. and here it is about love. the yellow bird at the end is from another song (cant name it now) of the same album, where the yellow bird is a girl that might cure the narrator, but she is gone now. and we are nowhere and its now is just the feeling of being lost and insecure and waivering about your life path

@DreaminMyLifeAway I think the yellow bird references in this album are meant to symbolize movement. In Poison Oak, which I've read is about his cousin's suicide, he sings:

"And I'm glad you got away, but I'm still stuck out hear

My clothes are soaking wet from your brother's tears

You're the yellow bird that I've been waiting for."

^This movement is death.

However, I think this song's yellow bird is a taxi he got drunk and forgot he'd ordered.
