there is nothing wrong with standing on the beach, checking the wind, and going back home. Some of us like our boats and see no reason to destroy them in a few hours.
Cats are faster than mono hulls., they are always faster, we have nothing to prove and no ego to stroke.
I was out this week in a hobie 16, huge seas, huge winds, tore out gudgeon screws :( had a blast, it was rocking wish I wouldve filmed it. Way to go in da surf, a special kind of adrenaline there.....
