I agree and disagree with your analysis. Yes Kenobi was smart, and perhaps I mispoke when I say he "won" because of it. The intention behind it was that Kenobi only even survived the first minute of the fight because he was a master at fighting defensively. I disagree because Dooku was smart enough to keep an eye on Grievous and still would have beaten him in a straight up fight knowing he was strong enough in the Force to make up for a difference in strength and possibly skil.
Actually its only because Kenobi was a master of defensive fighting that he was able to win. All Grievous knew when it came to fighting was brute force and basic swordplay taught to him by Dooku. As it was Dooku was very upset that lightsaber combat had devolved from a contest of skill to brute tactics that Grievous used.
The only reason Kenobi won was because he didn't try to defeat him with a lightsaber. Even though the movie royally dumb-downed Grievous' skills, it's virtually impossible to defeat him in a sword battle. It's the same reason that Windu didn't engage him in a sword battle. He was all machine with four arms and the cunning-calculations of a General.
The only reason Obi-Wan Kenobi won was because he was smart -- Grievous never expected a Jedi to use a blaster.
Kenobi beat Grievous at his own game, and that game is fore-calculating -- very tasteful. Grievous never fought anyone without first making an impression upon them, and or scaring them. This movie is sick...the music timing is perfect...and over..I love you for making this. When I first saw this, seeing how bad ass General Grievous was...I actually watched this episode at 3 am and called my friends on the phone ranting how fucking awesome this fight was and how much I loved his character. In my opinion Grievous was the most unique character in the Star Wars universe, He was taken as an apprentice and trained in Light Saber use dispute not having the ability to control or use the force, and im pretty sure he was the only one. He was really dealt an injustice in the 3rd prequel and was just a sluggish 4 armed cyborg. Grievous for Sith Lord ! =)
Grievous very well might have had the most jedi duel kills in the entire starwars universe, while the exact number isn't know the estimation varies anywhere from 20 1/3rd of which being masters the rest padawans, to an impressive 1/3 of all trained jedi padawans/knights/masters around the time of the clonewars. There have been alot of mass killings of jedi throughout the entire timeline of starwars but never to that extent by 1 individual (at least to my knowledge) except for maybe vader MAYBE.

George Lucas had to render Grievous totally and utterly, completely, 100%, we-kid-you not, dead. If Sidious and Dooku were truly interested in preserving such an excellent commander's life, they would have done two things: Plated him in cortosis armor that deactivated lightsabers on contact, then given him the capability of a Ysalamiri, either through an actual specimen hidden somewhere in or on his body or by synthesizing the effect. Then the only thing that would have taken him out would have been a Base Delta Zero. MAYBE.
I have no idea why they decided to make those god awful CGI clone wars cartoons. Just let Genndy Tartakovsky do it, I guarantee it will be 50 times better and get you a hell of a lot more viewers.

That what ticks me off. They can invest that energy and thought to make Cad Bane, a new unknown character, such a great efficient villain but not General Grievous, who deserves it. They have only begin to really start on making G.G. as he should be. Do not misunderstand, I am a fan of Cad Bane.

the reason y obi wan beat grevious so easy was because he had been really really weakned by windu taht if obi fought him in a place like that before grevious killed all those jedi obi would have a harder time.
I never did like the idea, first not everyone could keept track on the whole clone wars so to have grevious from the start having what was a severe smokers cough didn't add to the awe of the character. Second. Why is it that R2-D2 bots can repair X-wings or other ships, revive weaponary, navigation and hyperjump but yet none was able to get grevious' body part repaired in the time leading up to his match vs obi wan? hey could have done better on that movie.

Grievous cant use the force..he isnt force sensitive. What sent Shak Ti flying is that she tried to stop the blade with the force, it succeeded, but sent her flying backwards.
They gimped Grievous so much in the movie and the new series. The series would be great if he was as big of force to be reckoned with like he was in in the 2003 clone wars.

CN made these episodes without knowing about that, and weren't told until after that first episodes where he's totaling kicking ass.
So, it isn't so much Windo's fault as it is Lucas'.

I never did like the idea, first not everyone could keept track on the whole clone wars so to have grevious from the start having what was a severe smokers cough didn't add to the awe of the character. Second. Why is it that R2-D2 bots can repair X-wings or other ships, revive weaponary, navigation and hyperjump but yet none was able to get grevious' body part repaired in the time leading up to his match vs obi wan? hey could have done better on that movie.

Grievous cant use the force..he isnt force sensitive. What sent Shak Ti flying is that she tried to stop the blade with the force, it succeeded, but sent her flying backwards.
