Because he only has 6 spikes, 6 giant spikes. It's all in the aerodynamics, and balance. He's tinged blue because all the G-forces have stuffed with his bloodflow, and killed his heart. He runs on the energy only eating solid gold (usually rings) can achieve. He also has a very weak stomach from all the running, that's why when touched he spews all his rings back up.
