You just truly don't hear this type of songwriting anymore. I must confess, as a huge Kiss fan (oddssey was one of my favorites), I searched this out as a novelty. but now I'm totally digging Tony's other stuff. Wish this would get more attention and then maybe the music world would right itself and promote music like this instead of the garabe shoved in our face.
Piano:Tony Powers, Keyboards: Chris Palmaro, Guitar: Marty Celay, Bass: Gary DeBerry, Drums: Byron Benbow, Sax: George Young, Female Vocal:Julie Last,
They are simmaler but not identical. Tony's has more power to it musicaly for some reason (even though Kiss used an orchestra). Also, the Kiss cover is phrased different at parts and missing the nice female duet vocal.
We gotta disagree sometimes bro lol This is what ive always known since it came out. Tony's will ALWAYS be the best...for me anyhow :)
@JimmyMDsko Tony is actually here on youtube, I've been talking to him myself. He was in the Brill Building back in the sixties, he even worked for Phil Spector on some occasions.

The version KISS did sounds identical. However, I do prefer Paul's voice. Interesting to hear the original, though. Thanks for posting.
