I was at this game. Season opener 98-99, UC jammed and rocking almost like the old barn. SIX fights. Hawks won 2-1. Of course they went on to have a miserable season, but it was a fun memory.

Lakovic got the drop on him early, but Probie came back, as usual.

If you notice the first 3-5 seconds, Sasha lays about 5 shots on him. So I don't think Bob really beat him. He got like 2-3 in after that and that's it.

I read he was excited about fighting Bob Probert who was one of his nhl heroes and that is why he acted that way. Notice the "yeah" he gives Bob Probert after the fight, I think it was more out of respect than show boating... I would do the same thing if the guy I looked up to kicked my ass :)
