and how do you get a thumbnail in the timeline ? so that you see where you are, like in imovie

@ThisIsSoccer2010 You always have to render audio. You can't get a thumbnail, just scrub with your Current Time Indicator and look in the Canvas to see what's playing

how do you delete a section of the clip. just switched from avid to final cut express...need to shorten clips while they are already in the sequence i thought it would be mark in and mark out then appleX but its saying nothing is selected. please help!

@bluppie88 press b while in the editor, this will bring out the cut tool. Then click where you want to cut the clip..

How do you perform the opposite of Q #1, i.e., align video with a different audio clip?
