1. Error 3419 is meaning Apple Server wont allow you to sign 4.2.2,

2. Tinyumbrella is not to find AppleTV on your computer

3. Follow that time matter i showed, do what i have said on that portion of that video,

4. Place your AppleTV 2 back on DFU mode via iREB RC4

5. Run TSS Server

6. Open iTunes ( Latest Version ) and load your Custom Firmware

it will work like a charm, no hard feelings..

@WildCat629 The error 3194 means that "This device is not eligible for the requested build" A way to fix this problem is (Only on PC) 1st. Close iTunes 2nd. Look in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\et­c\ Look for the "hosts" file, and click-it, when it asks you with what program do you want to open it, select "notepad". When the file opens, go to the very bottom of the text and copy this: 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

Even though I only know the user side of computing, I was able to jailbreak my apple tv 2g.

I did run into 2 problems, but reading the comments helped:

1. The IPSW found at the german site (.de) didn't work for me, but the backup link you provided worked perfectly.

2. I ran into error 1600 when I was trying to restore my device in iTunes. But, I was able to get past the problem after downloading and running iREB-r4 from iH8sn0w.

Thanks much for your video. I used Sn0wbreeze 2.7.3 last night (6/21/11) and it didn't like the IPSW file that came from Apple. I had started out with Seas0n pass and it had problems with the Apple IPSW so I used the "backup link" you gave in your video description and all was well. It is nice to have NitoTV when you are done jailbreaking and it makes XBMC a breeze to add. Thanks again.

Hi xtechs, btw, thanks for your tutorial, it's great stuff. Have a suggestion some people may benefit from - you mention at 4:58 that some viewers don't have a blinking light, and you suggest they restore the AppleTV. This isn't the problem - issue is that they're plugged into a under-powered USB port, which doesn't generate enough power to run the device alone. All they need to do is plug in the power cord at that stage, it will work!

worked perfectly. That was easy. btw...read the fine print on the ipsw download. When I downloaded the ipsw my win7 machine renamed it to a. zip file extension. When you go to save the file make sure you name the file extension ".ipsw" so you can find it when snowbreeze is ready to do its work...THANKS

Do you have any idea what happened to the GreenPoison Jailbreak for the new iOS updates? Everyone developing jailbreaks seemed to catch and release a new version exccept for GreenPoison. Did they disband or have issues? Just seems odd that they have faltered in this manner after more than a month of the main iOS version release.

I guess I'll have to try SnowBreeeze out soon if GP doesnt materialize.
