  • awesome shit! you went from noob to nasty!!!!!

  • DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS RYTHM ?

    SORRY FOR BAD ENGLISH

  • great cover excellent sound your a great guitar player ,love the scum tune cheers

  • Ha. Wouldn't sound out of place on the Top Gun soundtrack. 5 stars!

  • sweet!

  • yoeverything in this video looks like 1985 or something, from the clothes to the guitar to the room to the music

  • @grunntalll Welcome to the wonderful world of a closet hipster. Jdubz forever.

  • quote from tony wilson rip about joy division, they were marvelous, they were wonderful and everything else was shite. i agree, its unfair to compare other bands to joy div cos they are gunna come off 2nd best, they exist alone, to say that they were only really around for 3 years is unbelievable, they learnt from to play from scratch in that time. as any other band ever been as driven? doubt it. well trained musicians just cant play them tunes. example the killers, pure shit

  • Absolutely beautiful! Thank you!

  • I like that! And that means a lot comin from me. Really well schooled musicians struggle to get the sound and the feel. Joy division couldnt really play and were a bit hit and miss, I aint takin the piss, I really like that version! Top work fella. You got that joy division feel goin on that a lot of the others just can get. Keep up the gud work and keep the faith

  • @SuperLilylee

''Joy division couldnt really play and were a bit hit and miss''

what? You must've seen this coming, but wth are you talkin about? Ian Curtis might not have been much of a singer, but Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris were gifted musicians and created some pretty god damn striking things......

  • @AwesomeCoasters lol what i mean is joy division wernt schooled musicians, which is a good thing! ian curtis wasnt a great singer, what does that matter when you can write poetry, chilling dark and meaningful unlike any other songwriter. bernard sumner was no jimmy hendrix, however, jimmy hendrix couldnt create dank dark urban manchester soundscapes, so in joy division bernhard sumner is the worlds greatest guitarist, and joy div are without doubt the greatest band ever, nothing is comparable

  • @SuperLilylee

    okies XD

    that's better :)

  • oh i f*kin love ur pedal!

  • This is another one that came out perfectly man. I will try to cover this one for the next time I post a Joy Division tune.

  • Thank you, the original. I'm seeing a bunch of "Shadowplay - The Killers".

  • Man you play it so well!

  • what effects do u use, u get great tone

  • I am using a Boss GT-8 , Preamp & Reverb on with Rotary effect, settings all on 0 which gives it that metallic sound.

  • @raydeater Hey dude, great stuff you know how i can get some form of tab for this song... cuz most songs on those tab sites suck

  • excelente distorcion amigo

  • hey thanks i love your Joy Division covers, they sound fantastic & really help me as I'm trying to learn them myself

  • nice

  • How does the Boss DR670 work exactly - do you physically have to program the drum beat yourself or can you just choose rhythms that change for chorus, bridge, solo, end etc?

  • Great! Well done! I noticed your version after I uploaded our version a couple of weeks ago. We did a straight cover, although yours is the most original version I have seen on here (apart from The Killers of course).

  • i love it.

  • Keep up the good work! Nice one!

  • thx, i added my own touch to this 1, slightly metalish.

  • That's what I thought, I like that. Instrumentally sounds like it wouldn't be out of place on a Motley Crue record, and there's nothing wrong with that, i like both bands.

  • fuckin sweet! good job being creative to have your own original tone 8]

  • hey man, im goin be startin to play guitar soon :) was jus wonderin how much did that guitar cost you, and is it a yamaha???

  • love it m8 gd cover(y)

  • nice one

  • gud stuff

  • brilliant

  • Molto molto bravo.. Very good!

  • hey man, really good job. i'm just learning guitar and JD are one of my fav bands. hopefully i can play some of their songs soon

  • thx, Joy Division are a good band 2 start with, easy but effective riffs.

  • would it be a good idea to start playing joy division first?...im barely learning guitar

  • if your literally just starting 2 learn guitar, then you should learn the basics first. Concentrate mostly on these five steps as well as learning other people's tunes, otherwise your always sound like the songs you've learnt.

    1) Open Chords.

    2) Power & Bar Chords.

    3) Pentatonic Scale.

    4) Techniques: P.O, H.O, Bends, Slides.

    5) Modes & improvisation.

  • Joy Division is definitly a good band for beginners but spend most of your practice time just learning how to play the guitar first then you can make your own riffs and have the skills to play any tune u want. I'm always happy 2 help, mail me any question if you need advice.

  • true

  • Joy Division is forever ;D

  • Awesome, impressively real.

  • Nice cover, we have a cover on my page!

    -SAM(drums)

  • such a shame! no drum cover of JD .. i have to make some asap!

  • i have a full b and cover including drums, it's much faster though. we made a bad quality(kinda the point) video

  • sorry the cover is on LoudYouth's page

  • Look for my band, Loud Youth. We covered this song and always do it live

  • great song!

  • Great song, And I love how you played all 3 instruments. Awesome cover. (:

  • yeahhhh u like joy division so much as i can see...!! that cool!!! check out my account, I have a cover of Shadowplay too with my band...

  • Very well played. It is a great song as well!

  • you rock dude!!!!

  • this cover is amazing

  • DANG! nice man that is cool even though Im not a big fan of Joy Division.

  • thx dude, i'm playing it almost as the original but i guess the guitar sounds more to date with the effects. check the Joy Division Shadowplay live video on youtube, the tune is quite heavy, its a cool tune.

  • Bitchin' cover. What effects did you use on the guitar?

  • Using a Boss GT-8 multieffects. Stack Preamp, A bit of delay, EQ on a mid boost and Rotary effect all settings on 0. The mid boost i use on most JD tunes, the Rotary gives it a slight metal sound, you can use a flanger with all settings on 0 to get the same type of effect, great for metal.

  • Nice cover!

  • Thx and cheers for the sub.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG, ITS GREAT!!!

  • Buddy, that was SWEET. Thanks. You did the Bass on it, too? can you post the bass? I want to do the bass, and my son can do the guitar.

  • ou ou ou jea!!brawo brawo!!:]

  • awesome, one of the best Joy Division songs. Sounds just like it. How about Atmosphere next?

  • Thx dude, yeah would love to do Atmosphere, is one of my favourite songs, i have a live version which is just amazing but the main sound is a synth which i'm not to good with so doing guitar based tunes for now.

  • Yeah, in Atmosphere there is a lot of bass and synth, there is a way to do it with a guitar though if you have a multi FX pedal. I am getting a Verbzilla pedal, which has a setting that adds a shimmer effect on top of the guitar an octave above with some extra harmonics, kind of a synth pad, getting it for other things but it might work for Atmosphere . Will try to get a crack at it and see how it comes out.
