This song still to this day sounds so fresh. The brutal metal like guitars really stick in your head. Kurts harsh and poppy vocals work well in the song. Incesticide is one of those great B-Sides albums. Hopefully when it is remastered it is not ruined by the loudness war. WTLO box set has a wealth of b-sides and rare audio and video. Amazing there is still a lot of good video and audio that is unreleased.

When I read the letter for the first time, it looked to me like there's nothing that would bring him to end his life. It's just a letter, maybe a draft. Maybe he wanted it to be published by the media, to let people know. He (probably) wouldn't come and set a speech, so he wrote a letter. "It's better to burn up" means that it's better to end things instead of letting them end by their own (or just fading away.)
