When "Dumbo" was re-issued in 1989, they simply put the 1988 tape in the new packaging. However, a year or two later, they made the new tape masters with the updated Classics logos.
MotherBoardsPictures was not wrong, he was right! The FP logo is from 1991 because a re-print version of "The Rescuers Down Under" from October 2, 1991 had it.
im joking of course. i read one of someone elses comments and thought it was beggining to seem like he was testing your patients. I HAVE AN AUNT BARBARA TOO!!! I think.....I call her Aunt Bonnie though.
Are you sure about that? Supposedly the 1992 restored version of "Pinocchio" which was released on video March 26, 1993 was going to be on a very few amount of Beta copies, now extremely rare.
Here's what I have of your collection Alice in Wonderland (1999 VHS) Dumbo (1998 reprint) Sleeping Beauty (1997 VHS) The Great Mouse Detective 1992 reprint Cinderella (1988 VHS) Bambi (1997 VHS) The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1996/2002 VHS) The Rescuers (1992 VHS) Fantasia (1991 VHS x 2) Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (August 1994 VHS) The Jungle Book (1991 VHS)

I was aking imaxination 80 and pklus that one with the 1984 logo is an early print cause I saw one just like that and it had the 1989 WDC logo after the Red FBI Screens
Yes, you can do that. I'll show it. When I say "all my VHS tapes and DVDs", I actually mean it. If it's way too long, I might have to divide part 5 into 2 videos.
Aw, man! That bites! Anyway, my bulletin read that the 1986 WDHV logo ended in 2000 because one the tapes I got from Good Will while on vacation in Pittsburgh was the 2000 VHS of "Winnie the Pooh and a Day For Eeyore" and it has it.
And I think the tape in my Oct. 1986 clamshell is a later printing from July. It uses the same exact tape label and the Classics logo has that freeze.
Then what does the label for the 10/14/86 edition look like? I believe it's the same as the 5/28/86 edition, except it doesn't have the black line between the FBI warning and the film's title, right?
I don't have every Classics tape. I still need the 10/14/86 version of "Dumbo", the 1991 version of "Alice in Wonderland" and the early printings of the 1991 "Dumbo" video.
I don't rely on Hollywood Video because they often cut the artwork of the box and fit it into a video rental box. I don't get former rentals any more because my local rental stores have sold out all their Disney titles.
There's a crack on the case somewhere, and the WHDV logo embossed inside is really small for some odd reason. The tape has a different print date too.
Wow! You got a great collection of early Disney VHS tapes and Betamax. I guess Ray Glasser loves the Betamax. I'll send this one to him to show this one.
I most definitely will. Part 5 wil have as much videos as I can show. The reason it's coming in mid-November is because in 2 weekends from now, I will go to a used VHS/CD store and get 5-7 tapes for the collection.
Well for one thing, I really want the May '86 edition of "Alice in Wonderland" and the Oct. '86 edition of "Dumbo". I also want some more 1994 Masterpiece Collection editions. The next video will also have the 4 tapes coming to me in the mail.
"Robin Hood" (1984, the one you sent me on the message, I bought it), "The Journey of Natty Gann" (Mid-1986, Canadian copy), "The Sword in the Stone" (March 1986, Canadian copy) and "Alice in Wonderland" (Oct. 1986).
Sorry, my friend's camera battery arrives tomorrow since the first one malfunctioned. We might not complete it today because he has to go somewhere Nov. 19.
It was a former rental. That's why there's a peeled sticker on the side of the label, and one on the label. That "Escape to Witch Mountain" tape is also a former rental, along with others.
Man, do you have like every Disney video known to man???
powerpup97 3 years ago 3
Did they ever have any copies of "Dumbo" with the 1989 tape sold in the 1988 cover? If they did, would it be a real or mix-up copy?
systemoperator 3 years ago
That would be a real mess-up. I one was ever sold that way, sealed and all, it would be worth something.
Imaxination80 3 years ago
If there were a copy like that and would have a print date from 1988, it would be a real print.
systemoperator 3 years ago
Whay if they sold the 1988 tape in the 1989 cover
livinlarge18 3 years ago
That'd be a definite mix-up.
systemoperator 3 years ago
Yep I agree
livinlarge18 3 years ago
Clearly impossible for them to have copies like that.
systemoperator 3 years ago
I agree that would be a mix up
livinlarge18 3 years ago
or the 1989 in a 1988 cover that would be cool
livinlarge18 2 years ago
I've seen a 1989 copy of "Dumbo" at a flea market, with the 1988 tape, but I did NOT see a 1988 copy of "Dumbo" with the 1989 tape.
MrServoRetro 2 years ago
That must've been a mix-up print.
systemoperator 2 years ago
When "Dumbo" was re-issued in 1989, they simply put the 1988 tape in the new packaging. However, a year or two later, they made the new tape masters with the updated Classics logos.

Your collection rules the world!

My case for Winnie the Pooh and Friends is kinda cracked so I put medical tape on the inside where its cracking
livinlarge18 3 years ago
Your escape to witch mountain tape is a bit messy.

livinlarge18 4 years ago
The Sword in the Stone 1989 VHS has a ripped cover above the heading ''Walt Disney's CLASSIC''
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I told you so Mac SitS 1989 has the 1989 Classics logo
livinlarge18 4 years ago
No, it doesn't! The only reason you think so is because Fortunecity says so, and there an unreliable source that says false stuff.
systemoperator 4 years ago
No I don't think so fortunecity wouldn't lie I'm guessing he knows what tapes had what logos
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Yes, they do lie. They "Peter Pan" dropped out of print 1993, but that's not true. It dropped out of print 1991. Therefore, they lie.

TheBandit77TransAm 3 years ago
My friend Aubster06 has copy of "The Great Mouse Detective" where the title on the tape label is perfectly centered.
systemoperator 4 years ago
We have the same copy
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Lucky you! You must have the version from July 15, 1992 because Touchstone released "True Identity" that day.
systemoperator 4 years ago
Must have the July,15,1992 tape I don't casre when they came out I only care about having them
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Cool!
systemoperator 4 years ago
I have bot The Rescuers on VHS (1992) and 2003 DVD
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I used to own the 1992 VHS, but now I have the 2003 DVD release.
systemoperator 4 years ago
But I tell you something My Recsuers must be a reprint because its missing Mickey Mouse next to the WDHV text
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Maybe because Soceror Mickey was rubbed off.
systemoperator 4 years ago
Maybe because Soceror Mickey was rubbed off.
systemoperator 4 years ago
My copy of "The Rescuers" has Sorcerer Mickey standing next to the WDHV text. I actually think the labels look more "complete" with Mickey on them!
Gabrielkat 3 years ago
Really? I guess so.
systemoperator 3 years ago
Have you actually seen any tapes with Sorcerer Mickey standing next to the WDHV text? If so, which ones?
Gabrielkat 3 years ago
I own two with them.
systemoperator 3 years ago
What are they?
Gabrielkat 3 years ago
You wouldn't know them..
systemoperator 3 years ago
OK, if you must know: "The Little Mermaid: vol.4: In Harmony" and "Disney's Haunted Mansion Collection: vol.3: Witcheroo".
systemoperator 3 years ago
Dumbo and Bambi were the last films to be on BETAMax
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Are you sure about that? Supposedly the 1992 restored version of "Pinocchio" which was released on video March 26, 1993 was going to be on a very few amount of Beta copies, now extremely rare.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
My Jungle Book and Fantasia videos are in clamshells that were made by Sony Pictures and they last longer then the clamshells made by Buena Vista
livinlarge18 4 years ago
livinlarge18 4 years ago
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I saw a rare BETAMax version of Cinderella on ebay
livinlarge18 4 years ago
imax you were right about Beta they are destroyed everyday by a BetaMax Player just watch SAVE THE BETAMAX!
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Wow BETAMax tapes are the Coolest thing ever

It came to VHS for the first time in 1992.
systemoperator 4 years ago
I have the reprint
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Well, that re-print is still from 1992.
systemoperator 4 years ago
Does the 1989 Sword in the Stone VHS have the 1989 WDC logo or the 1984 WDC logo I read about this in the WDC VHS Gallery
livinlarge18 4 years ago
84.
systemoperator 4 years ago
I was aking imaxination 80 and pklus that one with the 1984 logo is an early print cause I saw one just like that and it had the 1989 WDC logo after the Red FBI Screens
livinlarge18 4 years ago
That's because you saw the 1991 print.
systemoperator 4 years ago
No it had the 1989 label
livinlarge18 4 years ago
It must be an extremely early printing of the 1991 VHS.
systemoperator 4 years ago
Its the 1989 VHS it has the 1980's label
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Nope, it's an extremely early printing because they didn't have the 1989 WDC logo until the 1991 release.
systemoperator 4 years ago
There is two prints the one that looks like a pre1988 and the other one with the 1989 WDC logo
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Correct!
systemoperator 4 years ago
My Aunt Barabara has the second print of the 1989 VHS
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Mostly off of eBay, and I also get them from rental stores that are going out of business, selling all their VHS titles.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Does your Alice in Wonderland video have the RKO logo or the BV logo
livinlarge18 4 years ago
The 1988 one? No, it doesn't have any logo. My 2000 Gold Collection edition has the RKO Logo.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Your October 1986 version has the RKO logo censored, if you know what that means.
systemoperator 4 years ago
I was talking about the 1982 VHS
livinlarge18 4 years ago
The 1982 VHS has the Buena Vista logo with the RKO fanfare playing over it.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Really that was videos4everybody said also
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Do You have the 1994,1998 and 1999 VHS releases of Alice in Wonderland ?
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Rather unusual thing, but Gabrielkat once told me that he saw a copy of "Sleeping Beauty" on eBay with the horizontal silk-screening label.
systemoperator 4 years ago
BETA look like Baby VHS's
livinlarge18 4 years ago 3
Beta can be spelled BETA or if you say the full name Beta
livinlarge18 4 years ago
That Must Be The Sleeping Beauty Videocasste Systemoperator Talk About Right
johnnynl 4 years ago
Why is the SitS 1991 VHS in a 1994 Case ?
livinlarge18 4 years ago
The 1991 VHS is actually in the 1989 case.
systemoperator 4 years ago
Yes it has a 1989 cover but the case is a clamshell from 1994
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Can you post it before Christmas?
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I'll see what I can do.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Can I request Beauty and the Beast too ?
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Yes, you can do that. I'll show it. When I say "all my VHS tapes and DVDs", I actually mean it. If it's way too long, I might have to divide part 5 into 2 videos.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
I'm convincing my sister to give up her movies since no one watches them
livinlarge18 4 years ago
some tapes are crazy
SuperDillan322 4 years ago
Don't you have the VHS version ''Jiminy Cricket's Christmas'' ?
livinlarge18 4 years ago

Imaxination80 4 years ago
I have the 1999 WDMC print of Alice in Wonderland
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I love the way Herbie is tipped on the BETA cover of The Love Bug don't you imaxination80
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Yeah, it's cool. I believe it's from one of the promo posters back when it came out.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
I also like the tapes with the gold label
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I wonder what would happen if you put a BETA cover on a VHS case
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Hey, Imax! Did you get the message about "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT"?
systemoperator 4 years ago
Yes, I got it. And that May 1986 "Alice in Wonderland" tape arrived yesterday. Tonight, I'm going to go home and play it.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Alright. Hope there are previews on there. BTW, what do you think of that bulletin.
systemoperator 4 years ago
I have to read it again. But there were no previews on the May 1986 "Alice in Wonderland" tape, but the Classics logo froze for 10 seconds.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Aw, man! That bites! Anyway, my bulletin read that the 1986 WDHV logo ended in 2000 because one the tapes I got from Good Will while on vacation in Pittsburgh was the 2000 VHS of "Winnie the Pooh and a Day For Eeyore" and it has it.
systemoperator 4 years ago
Ha ha ha! Looks like I was right about the May 1986 "Alice in Wonderland" VHS having no previews!
Gabrielkat 4 years ago
And I think the tape in my Oct. 1986 clamshell is a later printing from July. It uses the same exact tape label and the Classics logo has that freeze.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
What does the tape label look like?
Gabrielkat 4 years ago
The black diamond logo is on the top, and there's a black line between the FBI warning and the "Alice in Wonderland" text.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Does that apply to the 5/28/86 VHS or the 10/14/86 VHS?
Gabrielkat 4 years ago
The 5/28/86 VHS.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Then what does the label for the 10/14/86 edition look like? I believe it's the same as the 5/28/86 edition, except it doesn't have the black line between the FBI warning and the film's title, right?
Gabrielkat 3 years ago
Yes. But my copy is actually an early pressing with the 5/28/86 label.
Imaxination80 3 years ago
What does the cover for Alice in Wonderland 1986 print look like
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I can not let go to that fact.
systemoperator 4 years ago
Will you buy the 1991 Alice in Wonderland print cause I like that print
livinlarge18 4 years ago
probably to play the RKO fANFARE
livinlarge18 4 years ago
What is the print date for Robin Hood
livinlarge18 4 years ago
November 19, 1984.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Is it the one where the diamond is on top and Robin is at the bottom
livinlarge18 4 years ago
No, the Beta tape was printed 11-19-84.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
No not BETA tape the tape with the white clamshell case
livinlarge18 4 years ago
That one? There's no print date on it.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
What about the print date for your VHS copy of the 1984 release?
Gabrielkat 4 years ago
No the 1987 release
livinlarge18 4 years ago
you need to get Dad can i borrow the car, a classic!
GreenyMcFleetwood 4 years ago
Hey imax where do you find BETA tapes
livinlarge18 4 years ago
You can find them usually on eBay since Beta lost the format war in the mid 1980s.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
I find BETA versions of Pinocchio,Robin Hood and Lady and the Tramp
livinlarge18 4 years ago
How much are they going for?
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Well actually I just look at the cases to make sure they weren't phoney
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I wish I had tapes like yours pretty soon I'll have all the Classics tapes
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I don't have every Classics tape. I still need the 10/14/86 version of "Dumbo", the 1991 version of "Alice in Wonderland" and the early printings of the 1991 "Dumbo" video.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
My Aunt's giving her collection
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I have a copy but I want to keep it you can probably find it at a Hollywwod Video Stroe
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I don't rely on Hollywood Video because they often cut the artwork of the box and fit it into a video rental box. I don't get former rentals any more because my local rental stores have sold out all their Disney titles.
They go fast.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
So does Schnucks it is my least favorite store to feature a video store
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Maybe Blockbuster has some because you can buy the movie and get the actual case
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Oh yeah you need the white labeled Dumbo video
livinlarge18 4 years ago
What's the print date for your 1985 "Pinocchio" Beta tape?
Gabrielkat 4 years ago
10-25-85. It must be the version without "The Black Cauldron" trailer.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
Hey imax which Sword in the Stone VHS is your favorite 1986,1989 or 1991 VHS ?
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I'd definitely have to say that the 1986 and 1991 VHS's would be my favorites.
Gabrielkat 4 years ago
I was asking imax but thanks for your reply I like the 1991 VHS with silk screening
livinlarge18 4 years ago
1991 has the Sorcerer Mickey logo
livinlarge18 4 years ago
The original March 1986 edition in the black clamshell case. I'll show that in Part 5.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
What's diiferent about this Dumbo BETA the the other one
livinlarge18 4 years ago
There's a crack on the case somewhere, and the WHDV logo embossed inside is really small for some odd reason. The tape has a different print date too.
Imaxination80 4 years ago
If I were to get a beta version of a tape I'd get the BETA version of Robin Hood
livinlarge18 4 years ago
I want the 1991 VHS with 1989 WDC logo
livinlarge18 4 years ago
Wow! You got a great collection of early Disney VHS tapes and Betamax. I guess Ray Glasser loves the Betamax. I'll send this one to him to show this one.

Imaxination80 4 years ago
