Are... you actually serious? The Canadian army has been in combat operations against the taliban on the Afghan-Pakistan border in Kandahar since 2003. The Canadians, Brits and Aussies and Dutch were basically fighting America's war for them while they dicked off to Iraq.

Call it hate all you want but 27% of your population is too overweight to be considered for service in the military.

It's just the way society has developed in the US. When its cheaper to eat off the dollar menu at MacDonalds then it is to buy fresh produce at the grocery store I would say it's a social problem.

@CanadaXtheXRoyal like I've said before, I had a lot of them, as my sister is the CO of her Cadet corps. Most of them I agree, are utter shit, but there are couple that aren't too bad. The spaghetti and meatballs ain't overly bad, but it's just glorified Chef Boy are dee S and M, I said not too bad, I never said GREAT. The frigging bread they get is utterly disgusting. However, I tried the rations that come from the US too, and trust me, those are ten times worse.

it doesnt realy matter what the hell they are eating as long as it gives them the right amount of energy and carbs they are soldiers they are not in a luxury hotel or something

It does really matter what they're eating. No matter how much energy and carbs the food might have, if it doesn't taste good, soldiers won't eat it. A can of carb-enhanced Alpo (dog food) might have all the nutrition they need, but if that's all you give them, they're either going to go hungry or they'll eat it but morale will be in the toilet. It's not a matter of luxury, it's a matter of keeping your fighing forces at their peak performance.

@mreinfo some of the stuff in ration packs taste good, but a lot of the stuff is shit. My sister is the CO of her Sea Cadet corps and used to take home leftover ration packs that were unused. Some of them were shit, but others weren't bad. It all depends on what you get. Although, the Canadian ration packs are a hell of a lot better than the ones they get in America.

@buzzkiller98 it damn sure does matter what the they are eating. when you have to live on those rations for days, weeks, or sometimes months. i've done it and i can tell you that there is nothing more demoralizing than working all day, and then having to eat crap. remember this, these people are out there defending your right to make obnoxious, jackass statements like the one you did. and the only thing they ask for is a decent meal at the end of the day. that's not a bad deal.

IMP's and MRE's are specially made to hold good nutrients and calories so the soldiers can healthy and fight harder. The best part is it that it does taste really good!

Yeah i just got back from army cadet camp for 6 weeks, when we went on our FTX's we didn't eat the IMP's instead we ate the MRE's because we can't have the IMP's at cadets anymore because they're all getting shipped off to afghanistan, Shoot im really going to miss that omlette.
